UMNO turns TV3 into a Porn Channel !

Porn: Lim urges parents to lodge report against TV3

KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 28: The UMNO-owned TV3's airing of the pornographic clip over its prime time new bulletin last night invited condemnations, with a call by DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang for parents nationwide to lodge police report against the channel.

The pornographic clip, part of the sex video targeted at Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim by UMNO leaders, showed a man resembling Anwar having sexual intercourse with a woman. Anwar's family however said the clip only further confirmed their suspicion that it was yet another vile plot to kill off his political career.

That however did not stop TV3, part of the sole private broadcast corporation in the country, to air the snippet.

In an immediate response, Lim said TV3 had left ordinary Malaysians feeling violated in their own homes and turned the station into a pornographic channel.

“No child safe at home,” said Lim on Twitter. “All parents (should) lodge police reports against TV3. Let’s have nation-wide campaign to protect homes and children from such disgusting TV fare and gutter politics.”

Lim also called for heads to roll over the broadcast.

“Or Info Minister Rais should go,” he added, referring to Information, Communications, and Culture minister Rais Yatim who is in charge of television contents.

He also urged prime minister Najib Razak to act by drawing the line between what is decent or not.

Meanwhile, Subang Jaya state assemblywoman Hannah Yeoh described TV3's action as "disgusting".

“Watching TV3 nightline news, disgusting! Anyone who is against Anwar Ibrahim will be given primetime news slot,” she said.

Earlier, Anwar’s daughter Nurul Izzah Anwar said her family would not be cowed by such tactics.

“My family and I stand firmly with Anwar Ibrahim, and we maintain that the actor is not Anwar. This latest, most disgusting effort is an attempt to destroy our fighting spirit and derail reforms so desperately needed in this nation.

"We shall not bow to nor be cowed by such tactics," the Lembah Pantai MP told online news portal Malaysiakini upon learning that the video's second installment was briefly available on YouTube before being taken off due to violation of the video sharing site's policy.

Taking wows in front of the holy books

1. There were two major news shown on TV today. Across the globe, at the Kingdom of our former colonial masters, Prince William took a wow That makes him the husband of a beautiful lady name Kate. It must be important as it was carried life by ASTRO. The prince looks good in his red uniform. At about the same time a different kind activity was taking place at a Mosque in Sentul. ESKAY took a wow under the protection of a bullet vest and with a truck load of police protection. It was carried life via tweeter. In a few minutes TV3 as a responsible media will run a broadcast of the whole affair that took place in the mosque.

2. I am not sure whether my favorite IGP is back to office or he is still on MC. Usually I have to give way for his car and the escorts in the morning. Since the day he fall sick and he was hospitalized, I had not seen him or his escorts. Surprisingly while he is away, many unusual activity is happening in the county. For instance on what basis was the FRU was deployed to the mosque. Did the police provide the bullet proof vest or Dato T bought them at TESCO. All I can say, some man are more equal than others. I hope when the IGP goes back to work, he will ensure that any abuses is dealt with.

3. The former KL CID chief, Dato Mohd Zain (DMZ) said in MT several days back that there is a strong possibility that Anwar Documentary is related to the video that he saw while he was investigating Anwar in the late 90s. A friend told me that the full video (4 parts) is now available on some file sharing services and can be downloaded from the internet. I have not seen it but from what I was told is that there is some merit to what DMZ said. The picture of Eskay can be seen I the video and he looked much younger and has a different hairstyle compared to his recent images on the Internet. On his left hand he had two huge rings. I did a quick search on the Internet and found a picture of ESKAY recent PC where it clearly shows that he is not wearing any rings. I guess a good pho! tographe r can confirmed whether the documentary was indeed taken on 21 Feb 2011 by comparing a person features and built then and now.

4. I did ask him if it was ANWAR and he said .. ;)

0.0000000.000000

Eskay takes religious oath..

Businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah took an oath (sumpah laknat) that he was in the sex video along with Anwar Ibrahim and that Anwar was the man having sex with a woman in the video at about 4.15pm today. He was accompanied by Rahim Thamby Chik and Shuib Lazim who screened the video to journalists alongside Eskay on Mar 21.

The two, however, did not take the oath.

If I had committed slander then Allah would lay a curse on me, he said in the presence of about 100 including PKR representatives.

The trio was seen wearing bullet-proof vests and arrived with light strike force police escorts. They were whisked away within minutes after the event, with journalists who attempted to ask questions being shoved roughly aside, resulting in a small scuffle.

One of the questions asked was why the other two did not also take the oath. They were taken out of the mosque by burly men who yelled, Tepi, tepi (move aside), while police attempted to close the only entrance that was open to keep the media inside the mosque.

Prior to the oath-taking, Eskay who was dressed in a maroon shirt and holding a copy of the al-Quran, was approached by a 'pendakwah bebas' (unaffliated religious scholar) who tried to advise him against taking oath. The scholar, Firdaus Fikri, told Eskay that chapter an-Nur states that a person accusing someone of adultery without proof can be punished with 80 lashes of the whip.

It is in the Quran that you are holding if you open it, he said. Firdaus told Eskay that the oath he is taking does not automatically mean that his accusations were true.

I have fulfilled my responsibility of advising you, he said, after Eskay thanked him.
He als o handed Eskay a book on qazaf. Eskay had taken his oath about three hours later than scheduled, when a near-stampede broke out in the mosque.

Police working as Umno propaganda tool

MalaysiaKini : PETALING JAYA: PKR today accused the Malaysian police force of helping the government in disseminating anti-Anwar propaganda.

The party also exposed a senior police officer who has been giving talks in schools in Kelantan.
The latest information we received from a teacher is that a police officer camed Datuk Dr Isa Abdul Rahman (SAC I) from Bukit Aman had gone to several schools for the past four weeks.

He has been telling them that Anwar Ibrahim is a threat to security, said PKR communications director Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad at a press conference at party headquarters today.

Nik Nazmi added that the officer even briefed teachers that Anwar was the person in the controversial sx video.

Nik Nazmi said PKR was now mulling its next course of action, which may include lodging police reports against the police officer and bringing up the issue to the Education Ministry.

The police is being directly used to be part of Umnos propaganda machine now. Thats wrong, police should stay above politics, added PKR vice-president Tian Chua who was also present at the press conference.

Are the men of blue purveyors of pornography....

Last night, four video clips featuring a sex romp by a man resembling Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was uploaded to the YouTube video-sharing website. The clips were taken down within hours as it went against the websites terms and conditions for showing explicit sex acts and nudity. Another link to a pornographic website was also given in an email to major news organisations but the site is blocked under Malaysian laws.

The question is, how did these video clips get on to the Internet?

The trio behind the first screening of the video clip in Carcosa Seri Negara on March 21 claimed they possess the only solitary recording of the sex act. Calling themselves Datuk T, they also said there were four cameras found and a recording device.

They later handed over the original copy of the video to the police. Yet, parts of the video with Thai wordings first appeared on YouTube on April 3, three days before nomination day for the Sarawak state election.

No one admitted to uploading the video clip. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar denied the video clip was leaked by the police, saying, Of course, it did not come from us. How can I allow such a thing. He also said It was Datuk T who said that there was one copy of the video. But, we do not know if it is the truth. You should ask them.

The trio are not saying anything except that they will take full responsibility for screening the video. They are former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and ex-Perkasa treasurer Datuk Shuib Lazim.

Apart from a run-around of taking DNA samples from Shazryl, making ! a big de al of an Omega watch of unknown provenance and getting experts to identify the main actor in the video clip, the police have done precious little in this case except passing the investigation papers to and from the Attorney-Generals Chambers.

What is the crime here? Screening a pornographic video or a man having sex? And with that, a vicious campaign of leaking a video clip to bring down a politician without even proving he is the man caught in flagrante delicto. The men in blue have done their job but with the latest release of more video clips, they have turned everyone into men of blue or purveyors of pornography.

The Attorney-General has to either charge the men with possessing pornography or close the case. Any other innuendo, by police or the prosecutors, to reveal the man in the video is not necessary unless there is a political agenda to it. After last night, and with provocative titles such as Papa Nurul Izzah II, it appears to confirm the political agenda behind the Datuk T revelation.

They want Anwar out of politics as he is a threat to the ruling coalitions political dominance. They want to ensure Nurul Izzah is also out because its young politicians like her who are the future of this country.

The brief glimpse of the video clips on YouTube means they want Anwar tried in a court of public opinion and buried in the next general election. Perhaps it might be that or the reverse. Until then, the prosecutors have to throw the book at the Datuk T trio. And those who uploaded the videos on YouTube. Or be seen as part of a plot to end Anwar and Izza! hs polit ical careers.

Sumpah Ertinya UMNO Sendiri Tidak Yakin Dengan Keberkesanan Video Blue Rahim Thamby Chik

Unedited sex video posted on YouTube....

>>> HERE <<<

More clips of the sex video allegedly depicting opposition leader and PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim have surfaced on Youtube. The four clips, lasting between 4-minutes to 4:24 minutes, resembles the 22-minute video shown to journalists on March 21 at the Carcosa Seri Negara hotel.

This is the third time portions of the sex video have been leaked on-line, but unlike the first two times, the four new clips contains explicit sex acts. However, the video posted by user "rabiaab11" has been taken down late last night due to the website's policy on "nudity or sexual content".

Based on the information on Youtube, the user posted the four videos between 2pm to 6pm yesterday. The video featured several sex acts, including a scene where the woman performed oral sex on the man. Unlike the clips that appeared on April 4 and on Wednesday, which were about 1:45 seconds long, the four clips posted by 'rabiaab11' were much longer.

However, the four video clips had the same white strip across the footage with the words "Phaholyothin Road, Bangkok, Thailand 10400, Copyright 2011" in Thai script.

The second video released did not have the white strip and instead had a time stamp dated February 21, 2011 with the time 22:43 instead, similar to the one that was shown to journalist at Carcosa Seri Negara by businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah. Shazryl later admitted that he, together with former Melaka chief minister Rahim Thamby Chik and former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim are responsible for screening the video.

The three of them have been under police investigation for possession and distribution of pornographic material. Meanwhile, Anwar has firmly denied that he was the man in the video, lodging a police report ! in the p rocess.

An unedited sex video allegedly featuring Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was uploaded earlier today on YouTube, adding pressure on the opposition leader who has so far denied he is the man in the recording. The video recording was divided into four parts and lasts approximately four minutes and 28 seconds.

In the video, a woman is initially seen performing oral sex on a man resembling Anwar. The two are then seen having sex for about five minutes. The unedited recording released today also included two teasers that had been released earlier this week. YouTube later removed the recording because it violates the sites policy on nudity and sexual content.

The full 21-minute recording was first aired to reporters at the prestigious Carcosa Seri Negara hotel last month by a man who identified himself as Datuk T.

1Malaysia email circus

The 1Malaysia Email Entry-Point Project (EPP) has only become more intriguing with contradictory clarifications, exposing the continued malaise in the current administration system

The 1Malaysia email project circus is continuing as Najib Abdul Razak continues to maintain an elegant silence over the project despite the obvious complicity of various agencies under the Prime Ministers Department and the Finance Ministry under his charge.

Despite Najibs attempt to wash his hands off the project by claiming that the RM50 million project will not be funded with Government money, Pemandu officials as well as the project owner, Tricube Bhds CEO himself have admitted that Government agencies will be required to pay 50 sen per email sent to registered users. This will result in millions being spent by each government agency should they be sending just 1 email to the forecasted 15 million users.

Whats more, despite Najibs denial that the project will be funded by the Government, Tricubes has disclosed that they have received seed capital of RM5.5 million for the project from Malaysia Venture Capital (MAVCAP), a fund wholly owned by the Ministry of Finance.

To add further to the ludicrous confusion, MAVCAP immediately made an indirect denial that the investment was meant for the 1Malaysia email project, but instead is for another subsidiary of Tricubes, Tam Tam Sdn Bhd which is involved in mobile salesforce automation products.

In a Twitter exchange with Khairy Jamaluddin, UMNO Youth Chief who had earlier called the Pemandu officials little Napoleons for defying the Prime Ministers clarification that the Government isnt footing a single sen for the project, he insisted the officials are still to be blamed because they didnt brief the Prime Minister properly - obv they are to blame b/c didnt brief PM properly. (Apr 27 1.32pm)

Regardless of whether Khairys comment was made in jest or in all seriousness, now that we have established the fact that Government agencies w! ill be u nreasonably required to pay 50 sen for every email sent to a registered 1Malaysia email user, will Najib who is both the Prime Minister and Finance Minister issue or initiate the directive to stop all Government agencies from committing to such exhorbitant fees?

Instead, Najib must direct all government agencies interested in providing electronic communications for bills and statements, should require citizens to provide their own emails, whether Gmail, Yahoo!Mail, Hotmail or other email providers for such communication.

By doing so, government agencies will be able to communicate with ordinary Malaysians by sending unlimited email at absolutely no cost! If banks and credit card companies can do it today, theres absolutely no reason why Government agencies are unable to do the same.

The above circus over a simple RM50 1Malaysia email project, instead of showcasing a reformed Government machinery under the various initiatives like the GTP, ETP, EPP etc, has instead exposed the fact that all is not well within the Najibs administration. The various government departments, whether due to sheer incompetence or vested interest, is the biggest hindrance to a successful implementation of Government transformation programmes. And if Najib continues to take a hands-off approach like hes doing for the 1Malaysia email project, then all the Kings horses and all the Kings men will not be able to will not be able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

State Of Sabah (Stories From the East)

29 April, 2011
By Ryan Soo

In thsabahcrestis piece, Ryan Soo looks back at the formation of Malaysia in 1963 and the journey of his home state Sabah since then. Has the promise of the Federation been truly fulfilled? Or is it just one long trail of broken dreams?

DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWERS TO THESE TWO QUESTIONS:

(1) Why cant West Malaysians enter and stay in East Malaysia freely?

(2) Why does East Malaysia have a different court system from West Malaysia?

If your answers to both questions are the Federal Constitution, youre sort of right. But that is only half the story. That is West Malaysias side of the story.

Heres my side of the story - a story told by a Sabahan.

Similarly with the West Malaysian story, my story starts with many questions. But all my questions can be distilled into a simple one.

Sabah was the second richest state in Malaysia. It is now the poorest. What the #@%!! happened???

Facts & Figures

In 1970, Sabah ranked the second richest state in the Federation, with a per capita GDP second only to Selangor (which then included Kuala Lumpur).

Sabah was and is still well-endowed with natural resources including oil and gas, timber, fertile agricultural land and beauty spots for tourism. Sabah offers abundant promises for vibrant economic development and enviable prosperity.

sabahSabahs timber (there is none left unfortunately) funded a large portion of Malaysias development. Sabah is Malaysias largest palm oil producer with 60% of the nations palm oil being produced in Sabah. Sabah is also one of Malaysias 3 oil-producing states, producing more than 73,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

However, the state government of Sabah has one of the highest budget deficits in the country amounting RM252.89 million in 2006. With a population of 3.25 million, its per capita income currently stands at RM9,536 compared to the national average of RM18,040 for Malaysia. This shows a huge disparity with Sabahs per capita income way below the national standard. To bring the figures into perspective, Sabah only accounts for less than 10% of the population in Malaysia but 40% of the poverty-stricken in Malaysia. In contrast, Selangor has nearly a 25% of the population but less than 10% of the poverty.

The Malaysia Agreement

125px-Flag_of_North_Borneo.svg

Flag of British North Borneo | source - http://bit.ly/j26WJY

Heres the story of once upon a time.

Do you know North Borneo (now Sabah) also celebrate its independence day on the 31st August? Thats a fact. But the independence did not happen in 1957. North Borneos independence day was on 31st August 1963.

North Borneo only tasted freedom for a grand total of 15 days. Then came the Agreement Relating to Malaysia which came into force on 16th September 1963 ("Malaysia Agreement").

A Bit Of History

Before the culmination of the Malaysia Agreement, a referendum was requested to ascertain whether or not the residents of North Borneo and Sarawak would agree to form Malaysia with Malaya and Singapore.

Instead of a referendum, an investigative team was established. Headed by Lord Cobbold, the Commission of Enquiry also consisted of Sir Anthony Abell and Sir David Watherston (both nominated by the government of the United Kingdom) and Dato Wong Pow Nee, the Chief Minister of Penang and Muhammad Ghazali bin Shafie, Permanent Under-Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (both nominated by the government of Malaya).

Do you notice at this point that something is already amiss?

The Cobbold Commission (as it is commonly referred to) was an enquiry commissioned to look into the views of residents of North Borneo and Sarawak. Yet it was conducted by colonialists and wanna-be colonialists.

To cut the story short, the Cobbold Commission produced a "Report of the Commission of Enquiry, North Borneo and Sarawak 1962. The Cobbold Commission found as follows:

1/3 of the population was in favour of the realization of Malaysia

1/3 of the population was favourable to the Malaysia project subject to conditions and safeguards

1/3 of the population was divided between insisting on independence before Malaysia is considered and preferring British governance.

It was also said that there will remain a hardcore, vocal and politically active group who will oppose Malaysia on any terms unless it is preceded by independence and self-government: this hardcore group might amount to near 20 per cent of the population of Sarawak and somewhat less in North Borneo.

Lord Cobbold took into account the views of the populations of North Borneo and Sarawak and recommended in favour of the formation of Malaysia subject to conditions and safeguards.

With the necessary amendments to the Constitution, we envisage the entry of the ! two Born eo territories as States within the Federation. With their admission, the Federation of Malaya would cease to exist as a political entity, and would be succeeded by the Federation of Malaysia. There would continue to be a strong Central Government, with the States enjoying a measure of autonomy and retaining their individual identity. In view of the special circumstances which apply to the Borneo territories, autonomy and safeguards should be given in certain matters which are not enjoyed by the other States. We are anxious in this connexion that some form of guarantee should be provided whereby no amendment, modification or withdrawal of whatever special powers or safeguards may be given can be made by the Central Government without the positive concurrence of the Government of the State concerned. We feel strongly that appropriate provisions should be made in the Constitution to ensure that the special safeguards for the interests of Sarawak and North Borneo, as territories in the new Federation, are maintained

The conditions and safeguards were comprehensive, to say the least. They included but were not limited to safeguards in relation to religion, jurisdiction of courts, land ownership, natural resource managements, Borneonisation of public services, immigration, representation in federal parliament, special position of indigenous races.

Lord Cobbold added:

"The British and Malayan members have both concluded that, on the lines of their respective approaches, a Federation of Malaysia is an attractive and workable project and is in the best interests of the Borneo territories. On the assumption of that Singapore also joins the Federation, I strongly endorse this view, adding that the inclusion of the Borneo territories would also be to the advantage of the other participants in the Federation. It is a necessary condition that, from the outset, Malaysia should be regarded by all concerned as an association of partners, combining! in the common interest to create a new nation but retaining their own individualities. If any idea were to take root that Malaysia would involve a take over of the Borneo territories by the Federation of Malaya and the submersion of individualities of North Borneo and Sarawak, Malaysia would not, in my judgment, be generally acceptable or successful."

Signing of the Cobbold Report | source - http://wongpownee.com/

Signing of the Cobbold Report | source - http://wongpownee.com/

With the Cobbolds Commissions strong recommendation in favour of the formation of Malaysia, the Malaysia project kicked into life.

The Malaysia Agreement was signed in London on 9th July 1963 and amended in Singapore on 28th August 1963. The signatories were (1) The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; (2) the Federation of Malaya; (3) North Borneo; (4) Sarawak; and (5) Singapore. With the Malaysia Agreement coming into force on 16th September 1963, Malaysia was thus formed.

Looking back at the formation of Malaysia is as useful as watching the sun set.

It is beautiful, it brings fond memories, it can be a philosophical exercise.

And what do you always say when the sun is set?

"Heck, its late".

Whats done is done. We phase back into the present and move on.

The dubious powers of the Federal Government in citizenship

As remarked above, West Malaysians cannot enter and stay in Sabah freely. I also explained why this is so - it was a safeguard given to Sabah because of the "special circumstances" in the formation of Malaysia! . Sabah has exclusive control over immigration and border control within the territories of Sabah.

Now then, consider this.

The population of Sabah has increased four-fold from 648,693 in 1970 to 2,603,485 in 2000. That is a 401% per cent increase. That is equivalent to couples between the ages of 20 to 40 years old having 10 children each! It is not just because Sabahans are well-endowed or bunny-like hardworking. It is simply because non-Sabahans have suddenly been transmogrified as Sabahans.

How, you ask? There are two flaws in the system.

(1) The immigration department is staffed by non-Sabahans

(2) The power to confer Malaysian citizenship rests with the Federal government.

The immigration department is staffed by non-Sabahans

The first one is obvious. If immigration is not staffed by Sabahans who are educated and trained in the constitutional safeguards, then border control by the state government becomes eroded.

Citizenship by Federal Government

Sabah has control over borders and immigration. The Federal government has the power to confer citizenship. That is an incontrovertible fact.

borangW

Citizen - a natural birth right? | source - http://bit.ly/ln5i5t

So if the Federal government is intent on allowing a certain someone to stay in Sabah indefinitely, what can the Feds do?

Simple. Revoke that persons nationality (if Malaysian to begin with), smuggle that person into Sabah, then give him or her citizenship - award the person with an IC/MyKad that carries the magic number 12. Suddenly, that person becomes a Sabahan whose existence is protected by the very same safeguards created to keep him away!

This has actually happened o! n a wide scale basis. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants or pendatang tanpa izin becoming Sabahans. This exercise was called Project IC or Project M. Dr. Chong Eng Leong, a former Sabah senator turned activist, estimated more than 600,000 new Sabahans "appeared" in such a way.

my-kad

Project IC | source - http://bit.ly/ltmHy7

These people, in turn, are extreme Federal loyalists. Who, in those circumstances, wouldnt be? They were thrown a lifeline. They were given a chance to stay and be treated as an equal in Sabah - in a land they struggled so hard to enter. If not loyal, they are at least grateful. Guess who these 600,000 new Sabahans will vote for?

Didnt someone recently say Sabah is a "fixed deposit"? Well, that person is correct.

The effects are dire. Democracy in Sabah is hugely affected. Sabah has in effect lost its right to self-determination.

Put it this way, if you were an equal shareholder of a company with 4 other people, your vote would count as 20%. You only have to work with 2 other persons to gain majority and make important decisions. Now if the number of shareholders were increased to 10 people, youre disenfranchised. You would have to convince at least 4 others to join you to break even. And thats the best you can do. The additional 5 persons will never join your side. Someone say fixed deposit again?

Migrants without permit | source - http://bit.ly/eIhbDD

Migrants without! permit | source - http://bit.ly/eIhbDD

Notwithstanding the above, we still have more than 750,000 illegal immigrants who are undocumented, who have no valid travel documents and have no work passes. I am referring to Dr. Chong Eng Leongs paper "Human Rights and Citizenship : Its impact on Economics, Social and Cultural Rights".

Representation

You may, at this juncture, be blaming Sabahan leaders for even allowing that to happen.

Yes, perhaps certain leaders may have turned a blind eye or facilitated it. But look at them. They are powerless.

Let me explain.

In paragraph 236(a)(i) of the Cobbold Commission Report:

"Representation of the Borneo territories in the Federal Parliament should take account not only of their populations but also of their size and potentialities".

In fact, in the Malaysia Agreement, the first Annexure - Malaysia Bill states:

Section 9

(1) The House of Representatives shall consist of one hundred and fifty nine elected members

(2) There shall be

  • One hundred and four members from the States of Malaya
  • Sixteen members from Sabah
  • Fifteen members from Singapore.
  • Twenty-four members from Sarawak
  • This composition in the House of Representatives was designed as such specifically with one thing in mind - to allow at least 1/3 say for the states outside Malaya. Try it. Do the calculation. You?ll see that Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore combined have 34.59% of the seats in the House of Representatives - just over 33.33%

    ~lg-The-Dew! an-Rakya t

The Dewan Rakyat | source: http://bit.ly/g0ecEQ

Look at the current composition. Article 46 of the Federal Constitution says the Dewan Rakyat now consists of 222 elected members with only 25 from Sabah and 31 from Sarawak. East Malaysia therefore has 25.22% say in the Dewan. The entire East Malaysias population accounts for 25.15% of the population of Malaysia. Seems fair?

But remember how the Cobbold Commission specifically recommended that the size and potentialities of Sabah and Sarawak must be taken into account - not just the population? According to data on Wikipedia, Sabah covers 73,531 km2. Sarawak covers 124,450 km2. Meanwhile, the entire West Malaysia covers only 131,598 km2. Sabah and Sarawak is around 150% bigger than West Malaysia. Is the extra 66,483 km2 only worth 0.07% say in the Dewan Rakyat? As an analogy, 66,483 km2 is equivalent to Selangor, Malacca, Johor and Pahang combined. And all of these places represented by one dismembered arm (or 0.07 % in the House or 15.54% of an MP).

More importantly, now that Sabah and Sarawak do not command 1/3 of the Dewan Rakyat, we have lost its ability to veto against any constitutional amendments!

There are many more gripes and dissatisfaction amongst Sabahans and more generally, East Malaysians.

There are complaints about the misuse of natural resources, royalty for oil and gas, discriminative policies against East Malaysian trades, low income vs high living expenses, corruption, the list goes on.

Though hope is frail, we must fight on.

There are various political parties and NGOs vying to enforce the Malaysia Agreement and to put into effect the Cobbold Commissions original intentions. However, it is acknowledged that real changes cannot be made by the East Malaysian state governments alone. ! For cons titutional amendments of such significance, the Federal Government must concur and move the Parliament for Sabah and Sarawak.

    map_EAST_MALAYSIA

Since the March 08 tsunami in West Malaysia, the battlefield for Putrajaya has been centered around East Malaysia. The ball is in our court. Perhaps this is high time for Sabahans and Sarawakians (both the incumbents or the opposition) to negotiate for higher grounds for Sabah and Sarawak in the next Parliament.

It may be wishful thinking but perhaps both the incumbents and the opposition can promise such changes in exchange for the votes in Sabah and Sarawak.

Very useful piece of information. Impressive.

  • A marriage of inconvenience

Even rock solid marriages tend to flounder sometimes. But when it comes to marriages of convenience, what can one expect? The key word here is convenience.

The Chinese-based political party MCA is not convenient to Umno anymore. Even though Umno has made some politically correct statements about MCA, it would not hestitate to cut the links with MCA.

Umno would rather shore up its own race-based ideology rather than save the MCA sinking ship.

When MCA and Umno formalised their political marriage in 1953, it was an attempt to help each other before independence.

Marriage councillors are likely to agree that when two political parties gets married the inevitable will happen.

English novelist Henry Fielding who wrote Tom Jones once said: There is one fool at least in every married couple.

Right now the question is, how foolish the MCA must be feeling. In the early days of the Alliance, Umno, MCA and MIC promised to work together. The MCA agreed to accept Malay political dominance but in return sought assurances from Umno over the position and role of the Chinese community.

When Onn Jaafars proposal to open up Umnos membership to non-Malays was rejected by partys members and he left the party in 1951 to form a multiracial party, the Independence of Malaya Party (IMP), the role of MCA was cast in stone.

Instead of joining forces with IMP and embarking on a multiracial destiny, Tan Cheng Lock, who had initially agreed to join IMP, suddenly decided to place the fate of the Chinese with Umno led by Tunku Abdul Rahman.

In 1955, the Alliance captured 51 of the 52 Federal Legislative Council seats contested.

    Anwars warning

The May 13 riots rocked their political alliance but the nation continued to see MCA supportin! g and up holding the Barisan Nasional (BN) concept.

In 1986, MCA had an acriminous relationship with Umno besides facing an internal leadership crisis.

On Nov 5 of the same year, Umno Youth issued a warning to MCA to leave BN over a resolution on the status of the various races in the country, which was passed by Selangor MCA.

Umno Youth leader Anwar Ibrahim said his Youth movement would respond to every statement made by MCA as refraining from doing so would be viewed as a sign of weakness.

I regret to say that the MCA has stooped so low as to debate on issues that will only call for reactions from the Malays, he said.

If they (MCA) want to oppose, they should get out of the Barisan and oppose from outside, Umno Youth exco member Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz told a press conference.

Umno Members of Parliament also called for the sacking of Lee Kim Sai from the Cabinet.

Lim was MCA deputy president then, holding the labour Cabinet portfolio and was also the Selangor MCA state chairman .

When the Umno-MCA row over the resolution was finally resolved at the Cabinet level, MCA president Dr Ling Liong Sik, who held the transport portfolio, said, Husbands and wives also have their fair share of quarrels from time to time. Very often, the relationship gets closer after peaceful resolutions of such conflicts. Of course, such conflicts lead to divorce.

    One-sided marriage

Following the 1986 general election, Ling said: Let us remind ourselves that the brilliant victory of the BN is the result of the collective efforts and the pooling of resources of all component parties.

We have pulled our weight together. Our analysis showed that in about 42 of the 83 parliamentary seats won by Umno, the votes of the non-Malays were decisive.! I belie ve, therefore, that the MCA also indirectly contributed to this great victory.

But the Umno-MCA political marriage has always been one-sided. The MCA was forced to support many repressive laws which were passed by Parliament.

Now the Malaysian Chinese are thinking more clearly both within and outside the MCA.

Can MCA deliver the Chinese votes to BN at the next general election? Recently messages have been making the rounds that MCA is intending to leave BN following Perkasas demand that MCA apologise for calling a public boycott of the Umno-controlled Utusan Malaysia newspaper.

Over the decades, a succession of MCA leaders have said the concept of power sharing is the most effective vehicle to safeguard the legitimate interests of all ethnic communities.

Is this concept relevant now? There is a sense of betrayal within MCA against Umno, and the Chinese communitys distrust of MCA is deepening.

The older Chinese generation is aware of the rapid erosion of the Chinese share in the economy and their effectiveness in mainstream national policy-making despite having MCA representatives in the Cabinet.

Dr Chua Soi Lek in a press interview in 2008 said: The new president must be able to articulate the frustrations of the Chinese community, its needs and the three core issues that I listed politics, economics and education.

The Chinese know that we (MCA) are not the know-all: we do not have a magical wand that can solve all problems. But if you keep quiet in the name of sensitivity, then people cannot accept MCA anymore, Chua said when asked whether the new MCA president must be seen to be able to stand up to Umno.

    Blaming Abdullah

Shortly after the 2008 general election, a confidential MCA post-mortem report squarely blam! ed Umno leadership under former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for the poor electoral performance of the party.

MCA managed to garner only 819,924 popular votes in the 40 parliamentary seats it contested or capturing only 15 or 37.5% of the seats. This was even worse off than in 1969 when it won 13 out of 33 seats or 39.4% of the parliamentary seats.

MCA said the Malaysian public, particularly the Chinese community, was angered by Abdullahs weak leadership, corruption, cronyism, abuses and excesses of the BN administration, rising crimes and safety issues, curbs on religious freedom and a host of other economic issues.

The report acknowledged the 12th general election was a victory for the opposition.

The victory was not won on multiracialism but on a common platform of social justice, a common thread in socialist ideology (DAP) and Islamism/political Islam (PAS), it said.

There is a growing consensus that MCA has lost its hold on the Chinese community. It has virtually lost all electoral seats with predominantly Chinese voters.

Now is the era of change. There is a awakening against race-based parties and this is likely to see a divorce in the Umno-MCA relationship.

    Lu olang pikiaq,pikiaqlah sendiri.....

Analisa gua pasai bidio fitnah seks 2 dari umporno beb..

    cheers.

Anwar: Police protecting sex video culprits, asked politically-linked questions

Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has accused the police of giving the distributors of the sex video that purportedly implicates him "protection".

"There was already distribution of a pornographic video and I think that the police gave the distributors protection. If not, it is impossible that the video clip can be distributed without police action and I had actually told the police about the crime of distributing pornography without pressure or action from the police," he told reporters.
He had been asked by the police to go to the Dang Wangi district police station to answer further questions about the sex video, which suddenly cropped last month ahead of the Sarawak state elections.
Three Umno members with links to Prime Minister Najib Razak and former premier Mahathir Mohamad confessed to screening the 21-minute video and claimed that they did so because they wanted Malaysians to know that Anwar was not fit to be a leader.
The 3 men calling themselves the Datuk T trio are businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, former Malacca chief minister Rahim Thambi Chik and Perkasa treasurer Shuaib Lazim.
Anwar was accompanied by his wife and PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail , his daughter Nurul Izzah who is also the Lembah Pantai MP and other top party leaders.
According to Batu MP Tian Chua, the police asked all sorts of questions.

“The questions asked by the police were political motivated and is coming from the Attorney General. The police has yet to arrest the Datuk T trio which leaves a trail of doubt from the people about their objectivity,” Tian, who is also PKR vice-president, told Malaysia Chronicle.

    What is UMNO thinking ?
