P.K.R will overcome the are battles to fight on several fronts

Thank God that Zaid Ibrahim lost the Hulu Selangor by-election otherwise the damage will be bigger. I respect Anwar Ibrahim for his fighting spirit, never say die attitude and he is the only Malay Umno is really scared of. Look at the way all the BN-controlled TV channels, radio and newspapers team up with Zaid to attack Anwar. BN and Zaid are real cowards because there is no chance for Anwar to defend himself through these channels.Let the ghost of Zaid go. There is no need to rub salt into the wound. Most of us know the fight will be between Umno-BN and Pakatan Rakyat, and the likes of Zaid with his correct but outlandish aims will not make an iota of difference. Zaid has muddied the water but now the opposition water is getting clearer. I believe that PKR has a lot of reforming to do. After all, it has been 13 years. Zaid has proven without a doubt that he is not a reformer but good only at jumping on the bandwagon of reform and trying to take the credit from it. He certainly has shown that he has no staying power. PKR has to take stock and remember that vested interests will stifle renewal from within. Once the warlords start taking control, reform-minded members will leave.I wish Anwar were more of a statesman. Perhaps because he was addressing a PKR crowd, he needed to take a more robust stand. Zaid is history. I'll give the man respect for old time's sake as his current ideas are utopian, beyond the practical reach of the present political environment.

Over the years, some leaders have left us but the party is still intact.

Monash University Malaysia political scientist James Chin says that by democratising the party, PKR has set an example for other parties to follow and will strengthen it ahead of the next general elections. This amendment will mean that PKR is now the most democratic party in Malaysia today,

If there's nothing left to say, then it spells the end of your relationship. For it's essential to have the intention to share and converse.
We have all heard of a companionable silence. And yet how long can silence help nurture a relationship? Too much silence between people can sever ties since there is nothing to build on. Conversations have as important a role to play in the building of mutual ties as silent companionship does.
Give each other space, but not so much that the chasm becomes too wide to build a bridge over. Think about this. When two people meet, they trade information about experiences, their lives prior to meeting each other, opinions, et al. After a while of doing this, they discover they are able to talk about the same things as they now have shared experiences. Soon they start repeating themselves, starting conversations with, "Have I told you this before oh I have? Ok..." And after a while the conversation peters off...
There is nothing left to say. Have you ever experienced this? With a spouse? With a lover? Or, with a friend? It can be scary. There you are all eager to talk and connect, and there is nothing to say! Or, at least nothing the other is interested in! Is this the end of the relationship? If there is nothing left to say to each other, how or why would you enjoy each other's company? What would you look forward to?
This can only happen when neither of you makes an effort to keep the conversation! , and he nce the relationship, going. For that it is important to educate yourselves away from each other, to make an effort to grow in different directions and pick up new skills as you go along. For, if you have an enriched life and experiences, there is always something to share with your loved ones. Apart from having enough to ponder over and talk about, it is also important to have the intention to share and converse. A friend, Alka, shared this interesting instance of her husband Rahul's attempt to keep meaningful conversation going in their lives. "Rahul has always had this abiding interest in Hollywood films. Somehow, somewhere along the way I had missed out on most of the English classic films.
Whenever he brought up a character from one of these films or quoted instances from these as running parallel to life, the conversation would be kind of one-sided. He didn't really let me know this upset him, till one wedding anniversary, he gifted me a huge box full of the best English classics in films! He told me to watch each of these. As I would watch one, we would discuss it threadbare, from every possible angle. He would give me his take on it and listen to my opinion with deep interest. This gave a new shot in the arm to our relationship and suddenly there was something to look forward to! I consider this one of the best gifts Rahul ever gave me, because with this he gave me a key to himself, to his innermost thoughts and ideas"
So even good conversations require some amount of work to be put in, some preparation, the intention to talk and share. If Rahul hadn't bothered to make the effort of getting the movies, or Alka hadn't bothered to watch them, they wouldn't have found their new togetherness. So when you are about to meet a friend with whom conversation has dwindled, make that extra effort not just to prepare the eatables and drinks, but also the gift of conversation. Think beforehand of so! me topic s of common interest that will keep both of you hooked.
A colleague would reply to every question asked and every topic brought up, with "Give me some time to think and we will talk about this." And, he wouldn't forget! Sure enough next day he would get back with preparation and the conversation that followed would be well worth the wait! Some deep thinking and a consideration of various aspects would bring a depth to the conversation that would have been missing otherwise.
But what do you do if the other person is just not interested? Jyoti, deeply interested in reading, tried her best to get her husband interested as well so that they could not just share books and visits to the library, but also be able to have interesting literary discussions. But Sanjay was just not interested and any attempts on Jyoti's part to make him read would be met with derision. On the other hand, Sanjay's interest in juicy gossip left Jyoti totally cold. As a result, most attempts at conversation would end in bitterness.
As part of conversation, couple of us started discussing what could have been done by either Jyoti or Sanjay under the circumstances. One suggestion was that Sanjay, even if he didn't want to read, could at least have kept the conversation going by asking Jyoti either to read out to him or share the story with him. Another suggestion was that Jyoti should have at least the patience to hear him out when he indulged in gossip! To my mind, their lack of conversation and of any attempt to show an interest certainly showed lack of camaraderie or the will to sustain the relationship.
And true, sometimes no amount of conversation, nor attempts at it can save a relationship that one doesn't have the will to save.

Pemilihan hari terakhir dibayangi masalah sama

Insiden ini dikesan membabitkan cabang Ampang apabila terdapat segelintir anggota parti cuba membuat 'kecoh' sehingga proses pengiraan undi terpaksa mengalami penangguhan.

Wahai Zaid.

Jangan kerana nila setitik, habis rosak susu sebelanga, kata orang tua-tua.

Apabila seorang ayah berjuang PAS, maka seluruh keluarga beliau berkorban sama. Seluruh keluarga beliau berjuang Islam sama.

Wallahualam bissawab.

Tulang Besi

A Gopeng PKR member’s report on voting day

On 17th November, gc sent in the following comment to my ‘Masa sudah sampai untuk era Baru…’ post.

‘sir, i want to write a report on last week saturday MPP pkr election which i attended . I have many copies of how the cheating is done by Azmin and shamsul. Email me and I will take scan of all the slips and write u a report on how they pursue / force / suggest / encourage me to vote for the inetrested personnels. Also while i am crossing X the person will watch me cause I ignore to listen to the cawangan way of voting their choices. And also I am not allowed to put inside the ballot box. One man standing there will take from me and he isolated the Parts and put inside the box in front of me. BUT he sees inside to whom I cross X’

I e-mailed gc that same day to say I was awaiting his report and accompanying proof.

The next day, gc e-mailed me his report with copies of documents which he believed supported his contention.

The report, however, was anonymous.

I e-mailed gc the next day as follows.

“Thank you for responding and sorry for this late reply.

I understand your concerns about being identified.

However, I would need to verify that you are indeed a member of PKR of the Gopeng division.

Otherwise, I would not be able to publish your disclosure.

I will not reveal your identity, but I need to verify for myself.

Could you scan your membership card and send it to me?

You have my assurance that I will not disclose your details should I publish your disclosure at my blog.

If you choose not to, I will understand.

Please understand also that in those circumstances, I will not be able to publish your expose”.

gc responded with a photograph of his PKR membership card.

I reproduce gc’s report, with his photographic evidence, unedited.

____________________________________________

13 Nov 2010
cabang gopeng, perak

1. I traveled 545km to Ipoh to vote at my cabang for MPP.
2. Three people went for voting as we are members of PKR.

3. A week earlier at night 3 people in car came to house and invited to come for voting and also gave slips “senarai pencalonan MPP 2010 “ of their choice and ask to follow the X cross marks. Although they never sound to be forcing but it was merely a suggestion and recommendation.

4. On 13 November 2010, we went to PKR office. We saw a big banner of ONLY Azmin and Putrajaya.

5. Ladies and men came to us after saw us holding blue pkr membership card. They almost had same slips. We told them we already had the slip which matches with their choice.

6. They pursue / suggest / encourage us to vote for their interested personnel. They have same dialogues “ Ikut saja pangkah ini semua “.

7. We showed pkr blue membership card to register . Each got one small piece of paper with a number.

8. Again almost 4 other people approached us and gave the same slips and ask to follow the guideline given.

9. One guy showed us a big poster of how the balloting paper looks like and how to vote. choosing 1, 4 and 20 people and the rules. The poster had white tape censor zaid .

10. We went to second floor. Gave small piece number and took the balloting papers.

11. We sat on sofa waiting for empty table. I saw many voters “copy paste” from the slips and there is 2 ladies guiding them easily.

12. There are 4 long tables. Each table got 2 chairs. Two ladies monitor two tables. These ladies every busybody and sees to whom you cross. They are happy as long as you keep the given suggestion slips side by side and do “copy paste”.

13. Also while I am crossing X the person will watch me cause I ignore to listen to the cawangan way of voting their choices. And also I am not allowed to put inside the ballot box. One man standing there will take from me and he isolated the paper parts and put inside the box in front of me. BUT he sees inside to whom I cross X.

14. Many in 2nd floor curious and showed grumpy face because we never put the slip side by side with ballot paper and refer and cross. Something like copy from slip and paste in ballot paper. We slowly and carefully choose our own preferences.

15. The paper is new and don’t have zaid’s name.

16. One man collects the paper and drops into box. The box is covered and NOT transparent. This man opens the MPP and AMK paper and sees who we vote for.

17. Two of us did NOT cross for azmin or mustaffa but I crossed for Chegubard. We also did not vote for anyone from the slips recommendation including nurul izzah except for one Chinese ADUN . I vote for Chan Ming Kai because he deserves . He is very good adun for simpang pulai. Some sort like hannah yeoh.

18. It was totally disgusting and no privacy.

19. We are cowards. They know our house. They can do anything in case they lose.

20. The only daring thing 3 of us did was did NOT follow the recommendation slip.

21. While we walking back to car, one PKR man came and said his name not in the “wanted /demanded” list. He said pkr played dirty game as cowards scared to lose.

22. Finally Azmin and Shamsul controls the cabang Gopeng.

My main purpose to travel 565km is to vote for Zaid But since news come out he quit. I had double mind to go or not to. But we went to see ourselves on the criminal breaches of trust happened in pkr voting.

I pity mustaffa’s people whom cannot get privileges in the pkr office. One guy came and give name card of mustaffa and yahya sahri. He did not speak anything but give and walked away. But since mustaffa is not my choice . I reject him too after watching news he said he supports anwar. He only complains but never withdraw from election.

Now I regretted voting for chegubard because he too complains but never withdraw from election. It looks like Mustaffa and Chegubard just like to talk to walls but NO reaction when there is action.

3 of us don’t support the individuals in party but as raja petra said we hate BN . So the alternative choice is PR. But that does not mean we love PR.

My personnel observation PSM is good. PSM also has many youngsters famous for JERIT.

Why we choose to be member of pkr ?

Cause PKR was nearest and available via eyes. Although PAS is in the 12th general election voting for my place and we vote for PAS but this PAS we don’t even know where the office. DAP – never came to mind.

Why do I need to be a member in a party?

Cause I thought of supporting the PKR and increase their strength with high membership.

Am I glad with pkr till today ?

1. I am super happy with ADUN Chan Ming Kai although my place is under BN.
2. pkr elections involves members to vote.
3. Some good pkr members around Malaysia serving rakyat.

Do I regret now for becoming member of pkr?

No. nothing to regret cause it is just some money and power corrupted people spoils the party. In fact PAS and DAP also the same. To be surprised BN also has good candidate like YB Devamany of Cameron highlands.
Therefore, I will not quit pkr. We need to conquer putrajaya.
I do not like anwar since he was menteri pendidikan. I also don’t like azizah from year 2000. This pkr is not about his family but the work for
rakyat. But now ever since last 2 weeks the hindraf memorandum squashed at anwar’s house made me angry so I also never vote for nurul . But for azmin and samsul , I only get to know his dirtiness this year 2010.

Rakyat Pulau Pinang tuan sebenar, bukan kontraktor

Bhd.

Sime Darby: Need for Full Accountability at Board Level

November 21, 2010

The Lesson from the Sime Darby Fiasco: Need for Full Accountability at Board Level

by M. ShanmugamThe Sime Darby fiasco has chalked up several firsts when it comes to government-linked companies (GLCs). For the first time, six members of its board did not, among them Tun Ahmad Sarji, the long serving Chairman of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB). The chairman of Sime Darbys audit committee, Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda, also resigned. In fact this is the first time that the chairman of PNBits largest shareholderis not on the board of the plantation group.

Tun Ahmad Sarji, PNB Chairman, leaves the Sime Darby Board

Tun Ahmad Sarjis departure comes at a time when the company is recovering from huge losses recorded by its Energy & Utilities Division. Considering what Sime Darby has gone through in the past six months, this should not come as a surprise. In May this year, after a lengthy board meeting, CEO Datuk Seri Ahmad Zubir Murshid was told to on leave some six months before the expiry of his contract, and a mere two weeks before the worlds largest listed plantation company was due to announce its disastrous quartely results.

It is said that Ahmad Zubir wanted to leave after announcing the quarterly results but the board decided that he had to goo immediately. It was the first time the CEO of a GLC was practically given the sack. Among those still on the Board are Tun Musa Hitam (as Chairman), Tan Sri Sheng Len Tao and Tan Sri Dr. Wan Mohd. Zaid Mohd. Nordin.

At the companys AGM (November 16, 2010), some quarters sniped that Tun Musa was still being retained, but the former Deputy Pri! me Minis ter appeared to be a favorite of the majority of shareholders who stayed to see his re-electiob through.

Th reason for the six board member opting not seek re-election or the resignation of YM Raja Arshad Raja Tun Uda cannot be conclusively determined. But there are no prizes for guessing that it is related to the cost overruns that Sime Darby incurred in the four projects(including Bakun Dam) carried out by its Energy & Utilities Division. On the same day, the Baord saw several new appointments.

The replacement of board members and the appointment of a new CEO are not a panacea for the ills of Sime Darby. This is only to be expected and Sime Darby is not the first PNB-company to see a change in board membership following a controversy.Malayan Banking Berhad was the first, following its controversial purchase of Bank International Indonesia But what is telling is that a message has been sent to the others in Sime Darby and to some extent, other GLCs that accountability starts at the top.

That is the most significant outcome of the Sime Darby fiasco. In future, the punishment for any mismanagement is the person or persons responsible have to leave on their own accord or be replaced. It is nothing less than that and it applies to all members of the Board.

The culture of accountability probably began in Sime when it sacked two top officials of Golden Hope (now merged with Sime Darby) after losses of RM120 million at the trading division. This came about a few months after the mega-merger. At the time, nobody would have thought this was the standard penalty for mismanagement. But now, it is the benchmark, not only for Sime Darby but also for other GLCs.

Accountability should not only be about mismanaging projects or going into ventures that cause heavy losses. It should extend to officials responsible for capital spending as well.

This is especially needed now as some GLCs, after six years of transformation and cost-cutting, are on a huge ! spending binge to expand. These include Proton Holdings, Cement Industries Malaysia Bhd, Malaysian Airline System Bhd, Telekom Malaysia Bhd and Tenaga Nasional Bhd.

In the past, the CEOs left their companies when they could not perform or meet their key performance indicators. But will they be penalised if they do not undertake capital expansion prudently? No. Neither will they be penalised if the capital spent on upgrading or expanding the business does not yield the desired returns.

At worst, they lose their jobs. But the damage has already been done to the balance sheets of the companies they represent. In some cases, the companies change from having surplus cash to incurring debt and will take years to fully recover.

Although several processes and procedures are in place to evaluate capital spending under the GLC transformation programme, what is the penalty for not complying with them? Shouldnt there be some accountability for reckless spending? There can be if the resolve is there.

The GLCs could take their cue from one of the worlds greatest investorsWarren Buffet. When he invested USD5 billion in the preference shares of Goldman Sachs at the height of the financial crisis in 2008, among the few conditions he imposed on the investment bank was that its top four officials could not sell more than 10% of their shares over the next three years or until he sold his own investments. This applied even if the top four officials including CEO Llyod Blankfein, left the bank.

The reason Buffet gave was that if he was buying a horse, he would also tie the jockey. This is something Khazanah Nasional Bhd (and PNB) and the boards of GLCs should think about. Professional managers come and go. It is the investors and shareholders who will end up with the mess if capital spending is not closely monitored. The EDGE MALAYSIANovember 22, 2010< /p>

Disdain for cops a ‘crime,’ says MCPF

(TMI) The negative perception of the police by the community is seen as a new “crime” which should be curbed immediately, according to Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Vice-Chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.

He said this problem had been identified some time ago but efforts to curb it demanded time and the collaboration of many quarters.

“When a crime takes place, there are victims who prefer not to report it to the police, thinking that the process will be dragging.

“This does not help the police in curbing crime. In fact, a new problem emerges — the negative perception towards crime prevention, especially the police,” he said.

Lee was speaking to Bernama after a roundtable of the National Key Results Area (NKRA) on crime reduction at Wisma Bernama, here recently.

He said the community also asked how it was to believe the statistics indicating less incidence of crime when violent crimes such as murders and armed robberies were reported almost every day.

Lee said the MCPF proposed more activities involving the police and the community, such as the existing community policing, to dispel the negative perception.

The ability to communicate well with the community was seen as a primary weapon to curb the “perception crime”, whereby more people would begin to help the police fight crime, he said.

Lee said heart-to-heart talk between the police and the community would help to strengthen trust and confidence in the national security system.

He said Asians, including Malaysians, were inclined to questioning and having a negative perception of anything done by the authorities.

“Although the police and other agencies do a good job of fighting crime and arresting offenders, there are still those who criticise and highlight the weaknesses of the police, for example.

“This is the crime of perception. If we can change this perception in the community, the police task of curbing crime will become easier as the community will have full confidence in the police then,” he said.

Unity in small doses — Chris Tan (loyarburok.com)

Recently, our prime minister presented the 2011 Budget and came under massive attack over a one proposal – the RM5 million mega tower.

If you are a smart Malaysian, you could realise that the rakyat has started to once again become a thinking rakyat.

And what impressed me so much is the unity presented by Malaysians in supporting the move against this mega tower monolith via Facebook. I’ll admit that I browse Facebook daily just to update my status and post a funny remark here and there. But lately there is a more serious side to Facebook, the social media network activism side.

Are you, too, impressed by the unity? Are you too delighted to see Malaysians voicing their dissatisfaction?

This is a type of unity that involved massive number of people. Overnight, the number of people “liking” the page was beyond expectation. It may be taking place on a virtual platform, but it is a start and hopefully it will make a difference and affect change.

The unity, illustrated above is truly remarkable. But has unity presented itself around you without you realising it?

I saw a perfect example at my work place. I noticed it among the pupils in chambers at the firm I work in, and they have truly amazed me! They too, have displayed remarkable sense of unity among themselves during hard times.

Recently I had the opportunity to participate in my firm’s trip to Penang. It didn’t matter where we were headed because during the entire trip I had a fun time with the pupils. This experience together allowed me to have different views about unity — unity is always with us, regardless of when we are at work or when we are having fun.

Being a part of the family there gave me the opportunity to see for myself the positive and practical effects of unity. It became apparent to me when appropriate delegation of work amongst team members needed to be made. Everyone places their minds towards achieving a shared goal even when delegated separate tasks.

This means no one person can afford to not play their part and contribute their share of the work. This, although not governed by any statute or law, will still attract criticisms. Hence, the unity effect will be broken. In such circumstances, would you like to put the selfish person away or keep them there and hope for improvement?

At the end of the day, we have to realise and appreciate that unity cannot really take place when there is a selfish idiot trying to be the hero or when there is are slackers not pulling their weight. It also won’t happen if everyone is not staying united but merely proclaiming that they are united. Every individual must be willing to contribute and be part of the team to work it out to affect the value of unity. And of course, it is far more rewarding in terms of the outcome of the good project or work.

So remember, if you have a team of people and if you are the one idiot who is being selfish and arrogant, buck up and lose the attitude. If millions of Malaysians can stand united against a mega-tower, why not you in your every day endeavours with your community?

Karpal: I Warned Anwar About Zaid

v

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had been warned about accepting Datuk Zaid Ibrahim into PKR after the latter quit Umno, said DAP chairman Karpal Singh.

“I had already told Anwar from the very beginning that the man (Zaid) could not be trusted as he quit Umno under a dark cloud and Anwar was taking a big chance by accepting him.

“How can one just want to take over the leadership of a party overnight? And when that was denied, Zaid openly attacked the man who threw him a lifeline in politics.

“Anwar was trying to guide Zaid to lead gracefully but there is no grace in this man,” he told a press conference yesterday.

Saying that he had known Zaid since he (Zaid) was a practising lawyer, Karpal claimed that everyone in the legal profession knew him well.

Karpal added that he did not intend to interfere in PKR’s politics but was just looking after the interest of Pakatan Rakyat.

“He says he’s a fighter, not a quitter, but he has been quitting political parties successively.

“I want to advise Zaid to search his soul if he has any and repent for the manner in which he is attacking Anwar,” he said.

He added that Zaid could go ahead and form a new party if he could go that far.

“So far, no one from PKR has followed Zaid,” Karpal said after visiting his constituency in Air Itam yesterday.

Karpal later presented food aid to about 20 poor families in Gelugor who were affected by the recent floods.

On another matter, Karpal said as the ultimatum given to Chief Justice Tun Zaki Azmi to respond to allegations of corruption against him while he was in private practice had expired last Monday, he would take the matter to court.

Key Jeffrey aide quits PKR, says hard to sell Pakatan in Sabah

By Joe Fernandez

KOTA KINABALU: Phillip Among @ Daniel Dell Fidelis, 41, a key aide and special assistant of outgoing PKR vice president Jeffrey Kitingan, quit from the party with immediate effect.

Among said that his resignation has been emailed to PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, party president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, de facto chief Anwar Ibrahim and Jeffrey.

Among had raised the subject of quitting PKR during a Common Interest Group Malaysia (CigMA) meet on Thursday night in Kota Kinabalu.

He intends to email a personal one, separately to Anwar giving a fuller explanation on the various reasons which drove him to resign from the party.

“I no longer want to bear witness to a situation where Jeffrey and Anwar continue to inflict pain and humiliation on each other,” explained Among who also doubles as Anwar’s aide during his Sabah visits.

“A historical window of opportunity has opened up for us to be out of the party. When we are no longer with PKR, we can then think clearly about our future political or other options.”

In his letter of resignation, however, Among reportedly made no reference to the relationship between Jeffrey and Anwar.

Instead, he advised Saifuddin that it was getting increasingly difficult to sell the idea of the opposition alliance, Pakatan Rakyat (PR), to the people of Sabah.

The reason for the difficult sell, as revealed by Among, was because the Peninsular Malaysia-based PR wants to contest all seats in Sabah and Sarawak. Meanwhile, Umno has allowed half the seats in Sabah and all the seats in Sarawak to be contested by local parties.

“PR should at least match Umno in Sabah and Sarawak but this is not being done,” said Among in pointing out the different politics of Malaysian Borneo vis-a-vis Peninsular Malaysia. “Anwar is only interested in getting 10 parliamentary seats each in Sabah and Sarawak to get to Putrajaya.”

Putrajaya, reiterated Among, is “not what our struggle is all about”. “We can co-operate but not kow tow,” he added.

Will others quits too?

Asked which Sabah opposition parties he had in mind, he pointed out that there were many registered with the Registrar of Societies, some active and others not so active. He denied that he was rooting for any of them or that he had set up a new political party.

The Jeffrey aide isn’t sure whether others will take the plunge like him and quit as well from the party.

He’s more inclined to think that many of the other PKR members will not quit the party anytime soon because the speculation in Sabah is that the general election is imminent.

“Why should we worry about the general election? If we miss the coming general election, we can always prepare for the one after that,” said Among. “It’s more important, as the people keep telling us, to get our politics and relationships right.”

Among, in retrospect, had urged those gathered at the CigMA meet on Thursday to quit PKR irrespective of whether they had an alternative party in place or whether a general election was imminent.

Among opines that “it cannot be denied that, at the moment, the Barisan Nasional (BN) offers the best political arrangement -- although on paper -- for Sabah and Sarawak in particular in line with the Fixed Deposit formula”.

However, he denied that he had any plans to join any BN component party. “We need something better than BN,” he stressed. “So, the question of joining BN does not arise although we shy away at the same time from PR.”

He hastened to clarify that he was merely referring to BN by way of comparison with PR which, in his mind, “is the fire we (Sabah, Sarawak) will be jumping into from the frying pan (BN)”.

It was not immediately clear what was the exact trigger-off point which pushed Among to send in his resignation from the party at this juncture. Among had pulled out from contesting for a seat on the PKR Supreme Council after Jeffrey had declined 40 nominations on Oct 16 for the vice-presidency.

Resignation long time coming

The quit notice would be seen in Kota Kinabalu as an ironic turn of events. Among was the one who reportedly “put out the fire” after Jeffrey issued his famous “I have burnt my bridges” statement on Oct 27 last year. He helped set up a Jeffrey-Anwar meet in Kuching which paved the way for the former to pull back from the brink.

Jeffrey, when contacted, had few words on Among’s resignation. “Eventually, we can’t stop those who want to go especially if they are determined,” shrugged Jeffrey who didn’t seem surprised or perturbed by the resignation.

“This (resignation) has been a long time in coming. He has only resigned from PKR. He remains with us in other ways.”

He declined to confirm whether his aide had discussed his resignation with him. He dismissed suggestions that Among’s resignation was part of an overall strategy at work.

Jeffrey himself was seen for the first time in many years at the state assembly on Friday afternoon for the budget sitting. He was seen being warmly greeted, Sabah style, by BN legislators and others who milled around with the opposition members as well.

Among is more noted among PKR members in Sabah for shuttling back and forth between Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Kuala Lumpur in preparation for the infamous Sept 16 (2008) move to seize the reins of power in Putrajaya from the BN. Among represented Jeffrey who had been put in charge of the mission in Sabah and Sarawak. Among had always claimed that he didn’t fail in his mission but that it was “others who didn’t come through”.

If Jeffrey’s people leave PKR without an alternative vehicle in place, it would not be too far-fetched to speculate that they may stand as an independent block in the forthcoming general election.

PKR polls: Leaked ballot papers surface again

By FMT Staff

KUALA LUMPUR: While the PKR elections to pick national leaders entered its final day today, pictures of ballots papers, which should be issued after 10am to voters, have been furnished to FMT through an-email indicating a leak of the ballots, further strengthening claims of electoral fraud.

FMT received an e-mail early this morning and it contained photographs of ballot papers, for the post of deputy president and vice-presidents.

These ballot papers, with serial numbers, are only supposed to have been issued to the party members after 10am.

Earlier this month, PKR secretary general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said that the party used different colour of ballot papers every week and it had been revealed that the colour is pink this weekend, the same as the photographs of the ballots sent in the e-mail.

The party is holding its elections to pick national leaders over the past four weekends, The final lap of the polls is today. PKR would hold its general assembly next weekend and announce the winners of the polls.

The party became the first political organisation in the country to introduce the one-member, one-vote system where ordinary members vote to pick national leaders.

While the system was to give ordinary members more say on who they want as leaders, the election had been mired with controversy after it was discovered that there had been election malpractices and mismanagement of the electoral process.

Allegations unchecked

The severity of the allegations remained unchecked so far, with the party saying that it was investigating claims of fraud in the polls.

The election also saw Zaid Ibrahim, a deputy president aspirant, pulling out of contest citing election fraud and manipulation. He had set Dec 16 to resign from the party.

The deputy president's race is now being led by party de-facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's blue-eyed-boy Azmin Ali. The only other contender is Perak PKR chief Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, who has in the past week said that he was contesting the polls under protest.

The e-mail sent to FMT reads: "Attached are the ballot papers for today's PKR elections."

"I am only sending this as I trust that you will do the necessary to ensure that this shenanigans that is legitimised as an election is made known," said the anonymous e-mail.

More than 30 PKR divisions will go to polls today. They include 13 divisions from Johor, 16 divisions from Sarawak and another seven divisions from Selangor. The divisions in Selangor are Gombak, Ampang, Hulu Langat, Selayang, Kuala Selangor, Pandan and Hulu Langat.

The issue of leaked ballot papers were raised before but the party brushed aside any claims of irregularities, citing that the ballot papers had tight security aspects, among which the colour coding was one.

Lim warns Pakatan to guard against losing direction

By Queville To

KOTA KINABALU: A senior Pakatan Rakyat leader is distressed that the opposition front is making the assumption that they are on an unstoppable march to Putrajaya.

DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang, on a visit to Sabah over the weekend, urged the Pakatan leadership to acknowledge they are facing a crisis of public confidence as a result of the series of defeats in the recent by elections, besides some problems in coalition parties.

“The Pakatan leaderships will have to meet seriously to take stock on this situation and take into account the public concerns and loss of confidence of the direction of the PR,” he told reporters at a news conference here Saturday.

"All coalition partners will have to buck up and pull up their socks. This includes the DAP in the seats that Barisan Nasional (BN) feels they can win back like Kedah and Selangor and states like Kelantan and Penang where they (BN) think is difficult but Pakatan should not think we are invincible and cannot be conquered,” he said.

Lim said the BN confidence can bee seen from comments made by BN leaders such as Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan who announced that the ruling coalition is on a roll following its victories in Bagan Pinang, Batu Sapi and Galas.

Ahmad, who is also the deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, was disputing a statement by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who told a news network recently that the BN would not be able to recapture the two thirds majority they once enjoyed in Parliament.

“They (BN leaders) have openly talked about winning two states … Kedah and Selangor and that they can even try to capture Penang," said Lim.

The veteran politician urged the opposition parties and their supporters to keep working for a 'inclusive' Malaysia and reminded them that nothing would be decided until the day of the elections.

“I think that would be a fatal assumption for anyone to cite specific factors to predict an election victory. This was demonstrated in 2008. Before that there was the Ijok by-election where Khalid was badly defeated but in the 2008 general elections he not only won handsomely in Ijok but Pakatan went on to win Selangor and four other states,” Lim pointed out.

Lim: Sabah budget is 'cronies' enrichment programme'

By Queville To

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Musa Aman's 'timely' announcement of a special allocation of RM1 million to each Barisan Nasional representatives in Sabah next year has been described as a "form of political corruption".

DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang said Musa's announcement – under the state budget - warrants Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) attention and investigation.

“It is a political corruption to allocate RM1 million public funds to the BN constituencies alone. It is clearly an election budget to boost the winning chances of BN in the next general election and not for the benefit of the people. It is to be used to buy votes,” Lim charged.

Musa announced the special allocation under the state Budget 2011 on Friday. He said the allocation was to enable BN elected representatives to provide assistance to the people in their areas. The BN holds 57 out of 60 state seats in the state.

His announcement is viewed by many as 'timely' since Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is expected to call for the general election anytime next year. Opposition parties are speculating that Najib will call for the polls anytime between March and Novemebr 2011.

Crony programme

Meanwhile Lim noted that one of the National Key Result Area (NKRA) in the Government Transformation Program (GTP) is fighting corruption and one of the main aspects identified is to fight 'grand corruption' which is political corruption.

“The MACC should investigate and wipe out such political corruption to show the government is serious about fighting corruption.

"The Auditor-General too should conduct a special audit on all these (past) years of spending of such allocations by Sabah BN assemblymen and give a detailed audit report on abuses.

"This (abuse) must be exposed and stopped if Malaysia is going to be developed to become a modern, democratic nation. Public funds must not be abused for political purposes,” he stressed.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday before returning to Kuala Lumpur, Lim said the allocation was against the United Nation’s report on “inclusive growth”, asserting that inclusive growth is supposed to mean for the benefit of everyone regardless of one’s political affiliation or support.

“How can you talk about giving RM1 million for each BN constituency and on the other hand you’re talking about 'inclusive growth'?” he asked.

Touching on the RM162 million allocated in the budget for poverty eradication, he was both puzzled and distraught by the fact that despite hundreds of millions of ringgit spent on poverty eradication programmes over the years since BN took over the state in 1994, Sabah has become the poorest state in the country.

“I think instead of calling it poverty eradication programme, it should be correctly termed as 'BN Cronies Enrichment Programme' in view of the fact that poverty remains high in Sabah,” he remarked.

Also present were assistant DAP national publicity Secretary cum MP for Serdang Teo Nie Ching, Sabah DAP chief cum MP for Kota Kinabalu Hiew King Cheu, his deputy cum Sri Tanjung assemblyman Jimmy Wong, its vice chairman Edward Mujie and its publicity secretary Edwin Bosi.

Malaysians use people like second hand goods

PKR is 'not for us any more'
Ahmad A Talib

LEHA is way down in the Parti Keadilan Rakyat food chain. For many years, this young mother held on to her hope that the party would form the next government. Jaafar, her husband, had harboured the same hope, too.
The couple have a small flat at Kondo Rakyat in Kg Kerinchi, Lembah Pantai. During the recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri and last week's Hari Raya Aidiladha, the couple sold lemang to supplement their income.

They make excellent lemang. At RM8 per stick, it's a good buy. But events in the PKR in past few months have made Leha and Jaafar frustrated, angry, disappointed and disillusioned.
Leha has made enquiries about joining Umno and is anxious to sign up as soon as possible.
While Leha and Jaafar are at the lower end of the PKR hierarchy, top leader Datuk Zaid Ibrahim is just as frustrated. He couldn't take any more of the squabbles within the party and announced his departure on Friday.

Lawyer Zaid is not likely to join any other party, having burned his bridges with Umno when he jumped onto the PKR bandwagon. He harbours a different ambition -- that of forming his own political party.
Leha and Jaafar are not following Zaid in his new venture. Zaid, as far as the couple are concerned, is but one of the many reasons for the internal squabbles in the party. The PKR crisis shows no sign of easing off, which leaves the likes of Leha and Jaafar seething.

Leha said: "The PKR leaders are ungrateful. In the last general election, I worked liked a dog to help Nurul Izzah, Anwar's daughter, beat then incumbent member of parliament Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil in Lembah Pantai.

"Nurul would call me often. If no calls, there were always SMSes. As a grassroots leader, I have my own circle of friends. With little sleep but plenty of sweat, we helped sent Nurul Izzah to Parliament."Toda y, I hardly get any call from her. No SMS, too."

For the record, Nurul Izzah garnered 21,728 votes compared with 18,883 for Shahrizat. The likes of Leha and Jaafar helped gave Nurul Izzah the 2,895-vote majority.

Leha has some unsavoury words about her MP, but I chose not to share them with everyone.

Her husband was a bit more dramatic. At a press conference last week, Jaafar brought along a pair of tombstones to show everyone that they were meant for PKR's grave when the time came. I later found out that the tombstones were actually meant as replacement tombstones for his late sister-in-law, who died many years ago.

Asked why he brought the tombstones, Jaafar said: "Saya benci PKR. Saya dah tak tahan lagi. Cakap tak serupa bikin. Penuh dengan janji-janji manis tetapi kosong. Parti ini tiada prinsip, tiada maruah." (I hate PKR. I can't stand it any more. No action, only talk. They make empty promises. They have no principles, no dignity.)

Zaid, too, have had enough of the PKR squabbles. Political observers had concluded much earlier that Zaid would leave the party sooner or later for the simple reason that he won't fit into the PKR framework.

Zaid's entry into PKR was met with a massive drum roll and warm greetings. Many had high hopes that Zaid's entry would strengthen the party. But as Leha, Jaafar and senior party leaders later found out, this was not to be.

Zaid was seen as a troublemaker, of trying to subvert and challenge the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Battle lines were drawn and it was only a matter of time before matters came to a boil.

Zaid didn't do all that well in PKR, too, having lost to Barisan Nasional's P. Kamalanathan in the Hulu Selangor parliamentary by-election earlier this year.

Zaid was beaten by the friendly Kamalanathan with a majority of 1,725 votes. If PKR had hoped that Zaid would strengthen the party, this defeat was certainly not the way to go. Zaid's critics said this was the start of Zaid's prob! lems in the party.

Zaid's departure from PKR may not be the last, at least from the top-end of the hierarchy. Others may follow. At the lower-end of the scale, leaders like Leha are already making their way to join Umno. This is really a testing time for members who are still in the party.

************************************************************************************

PKR is not the only party that uses people that way. UMNO, MIC, MCA, Gerakan, PAS, DAP and many others including NGOs are sama, sama.

Lets be honest Malaysians are by nature demanding, selfish and greedy, right or not? Ask yourself and be honest and truthful.

When Daim was the Finance Minister I had strangers and friends coming to my house asking for projects, education funds and some wanting to work in his companies. One Japanese even send me a gift worth RM20,000 which I decline to accept and told him to give it to Mahani or Ida. Even an old friend whom I had not seen for several years begged me to talk to Daim for a job using our friendship as an excuse. For a couple of months my family was invited to lunches and dinners at five stars hotels and restaurants. I rejected every single request and even ask some of them why I should help them when I myself had not ask for a single project from Daim. Many left frustrated and angry.

Today these people would pretend not to know me because they have managed to secure funds for education, projects and are even working for Daim through the help of Mahani, Naim and Josephine.

When Mahani was running Syarikat Maluri, for a short period of time, many staff walked out because the Crazy Woman or Ritchie bitch which was Mahanis nickname, was suspicious that they were all sleeping with Daim. Also Ritchie bitchs mouth has nothing nice or sweet when it comes to character assassination, which the ex-staff are more than happy to vouch. When one by one started to leave, Daim got angry and told Ritchie bitch to get some of them back. So Ritchie bitch h! ad no ch oice but to go begging for their return. Ritchie bitch was then seen everywhere in Taman Maluri crying and begging them on the road sides, going to their homes and even called them many times a day. Later when it was confirmed that none of them were willing to return Ritchie bitch again bad mouth them. Ritchie bitch last victim was none other than Camelia who used to be with Wira.

For every past by-election certain leaders from PKR would call up my friends to do this or that. At times, calls and SMS would come in every two minutes and your calls to them would be answered. When election is over, there is absolutely big silent from these leaders. Even calls and messages to their cell phones are never answered. There is no thank you or dinner to show their appreciation for the work done. Then if you just happen to meet them in a function they would be reluctant to shake your hands. When corner why they behave like that, they would say busy and not to worry when the time comes they will not be forgotten. This kind of excuses I have heard many times over the years from UMNO, MCA, DAP, PAS and PKR leaders. They are all the same. When they need you, you are their best friend but the minute there is no need for your service you are a beggar. The people who left UMNO and PKR are no better too.

Baru Bian : The Pigeon Mountain of Hope

By Baru Bian

I was rudely awakened by the howling wind that ferociously beat through the woods and occasionally whistled through the cracks and crevices in the wall above me. I felt unusually cold and the sharp excruciating pain through my body jolted me to a complete state of consciousness. The crude, rough surface of the wooden plank was cruel. The deafening thunder echoed through the night into the wee hours, lightning flashes through the pitch dark space surrounding me. It rained the whole night.

I was sleeping in the guest house at a Youth Motivational Camp, as one of the invited speakers for about 100 Form Five and Form Six Lun Bawang students from four Secondary Schools within the Lawas District in June 2005, on the highest mountain in Long Semado area, a prayer mountain called Buduk Balud; the Pigeon Mountain.

According to Lun Bawang narrative, the whole world was at one time under water, because of a great flood (Ereb Rayeh); including the Long Semado highlands. All the surrounding mountains were submerged under water, except the Pigeon Mountain, for there stood proudly above the plain of waters, a size of a wild pigeons chest (Ruuk Balud) left untouched by the flood, it was thus named; Buduk Balud.

See What Barisan Nasional Gotta Say?

What others say about Syed Husin and Zaid Ibrahim....

'Zaid's loss is only a cabinet post - and he is still as rich as before. As for Syed Husin - he lost six precious years in detention under ISA.'

Alan Goh: Syed Husin Ali, you have shown leadership by example when placed under the ISA. As a highly-qualified Malay, you could have joined Umno like most rent-seekers, become a rich, corrupted politician and build a RM24 million Balinese mansion in Petaling Jaya or Shah Alam. I have very high respect for you as I once did for YB Zaid Ibrahim. Alas, Zaid is just too impatient compared to your years of political struggle and suffering at the hands of Umno.

Freemsia: Zaid Ibrahim has been a total disappointment. Many were hoping that with him, we would have a formidable opposition pact to take our country to a two-party system. It is sad that this is happening. As for the 'March to Putrajaya'? That means nothing. It is just the name of a book.

Mygazee: It is not a matter of who we hold up to or who we should support. Those rebellious days are over - Azmin Ali is a fighter, but when it comes to administration of the country, I still prefer soft but tough politicians like Zaid.

Rick Teo: I admit I was wrong when I wrote an article that Zaid should be elected as deputy president. Events of the last few weeks has shown that he lacks the character of a leader. His flip-flop decisions on a lot of occasions only confirms his lack of a cohesive plan for the opposition entity. His ambition to quickly seize power only exposes his lack of will to reform the country. Pakatan will continue its struggle without you, Zaid, and we shall take over Putrajaya as planned.

Victor Johan: Zaid built the largest legal firm in Malaysia. But were there any legal suits handled by the company defending human rights and help! ing Mala ysians to fight for justice, etc? Most of their legal business was government matters related to conveyancing. His company was the legal firm of choice for such transactions. The knowledgeable rakyat is not hoodwink by Zaid. I wanted change from the present administration of the Umno/BN regime, and was willing to back just about anyone who could assist us to obtain that desired change. Zaid came in at the right time, but alas, with a personal agenda.

Ferdtan: Zaid's sacrifices in politics compared to Syed Husin Ali is a mismatch. Zaid's loss is only a cabinet post - and he is still as rich as before. As for Syed Husin - he lost six precious years in detention under ISA and was mentally tortured. In spite of the pain, he did not quit the fight for justice - especially for the poor landless squatters, and indirectly he lost his job as a university professor. And he remained poor. When he was detained under ISA when Hussein Onn as PM, there was a struggle for deputy president in Umno, and Ghazali Shafie - who was then the home minister - tried to get him to implicate Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Musa Hitam. Syed Husin could have got himself freed but due to his principles, he refused. Sigh... history would have been different without Mahathir in the picture.

Maitreya: Syed Husin Ali is a giant among freedom fighters who has persevered his whole life to bring about reforms in the political structure that would benefit the rakyat rather than a small elite cabal of the most thick-skinned, ego-driven, money-hungry, arrogant and corrupt amongst us. Zaid Ibrahim is very brash and foolish indeed to even attempt to malign a man of Syed Husin Ali's impeccable stature as a social philosopher and political icon - one who has maintained his belief and firm friendship with Anwar Ibrahim for ! so many decades. It saddens me to say this, but it's better for everyone that Zaid has revealed himself to be a fickle and finicky character long before he got anywhere near the highest office in the land.

Disagreeing with the PKR leadership is one thing, but to ventilate his unhappiness with them so vociferously and publicly at a time when the opposition forces need to be stronger and more coherent is nothing but self-serving.

source:malaysiakini

cheers.

He hastened to explain which he was merely referring to BN by approach of comparison with PR which, in his mind, is a glow you (Sabah, Sarawak) will be jumping into fro! m a fryi ng vessel (BN).

It was not rught away transparent what was a expect trigger-off point which pushed Among to send in his abdication from a celebration during this juncture. Among had pulled out from contesting for a seat upon a PKR Supreme Council after Jeffrey had declined 40 nominations upon October 16 for a vice-presidency.

Resignation prolonged time coming

The give up notice would be seen in Kota Kinabalu as an mocking spin of events. Among was a one who reportedly put out a glow after Jeffrey issued his famous I have burnt my bridges matter upon October 27 last year. He helped set up a Jeffrey-Anwar encounter in Kuching which paved a approach for a former to pull behind from a brink.

Jeffrey, when contacted, had few words upon Amongs resignation. Eventually, you cant stop those who wish to go especially if they have been determined, shrugged Jeffrey who didnt appear surprised or disturbed by a resignation.

This (resignation) has been a prolonged time in coming. He has usually resigned from PKR. He remains with us in pick ways.

He declined to confirm whether his help had discussed his abdication with him. He dismissed suggestions which Amongs abdication was part of an overall strategy during work.

Jeffrey himself was seen for a initial time in most years during a state public upon Friday afternoon for a bill sitting. He was seen being tenderly greeted, Sabah style, by BN legislators as good as others who milled around with a antithesis members as well.

Among is some-more remarkable between PKR members in Sabah for shuttling behind as good as forth between Kota Kinabalu, Kuching as good as Kuala Lumpur in preparation for a infamous Sept 16 (2008) pierce to seize a reins of power in Putrajaya from a BN. Among represented Jeffrey who had been put in charge of a mission in Sabah as good as Sarawak. Among had regularly claimed which he didnt destroy in his mission though which it was others who didnt come through.

If Jeffre! ys peopl e leave PKR but an pick car in place, it would not be as well fantastic to speculate which they might stand as an eccentric retard in a forthcoming ubiquitous election.

Terence Netto comments on PKR Politics: An Electioneering Glissade

Veiled attacks on the shenanigans of Zaid Ibrahim and vague assurances of self-strengthening are likely to be the twin motifs of the PKR response to its latest crisis, judging by what was on offer at separate gatherings yesterday of the party faithful.

At the first, which was an assembly of PKR Federal Territory divisional leaders in Kuala Lumpur, a late arriving Anwar Ibrahim told the gathering they should focus on preparations for the approaching general election than on the repercussions of their former leader, Zaids, turbulent actions.

selangor pkr briefing anwar ibrahimLater at Shah Alam, at a packed town hall-style gathering of party faithful, the two motifs of veneered barbs at Zaid except for Dr Syed Husin Ali who was close to choleric in his denunciation and unspecified assurances of reform to PKR election modules were in stronger evidence.

Tonight in Baling, Kedah, on what is likely to be the start of party supremo Anwar Ibrahims standard response to crisis an electioneering glissade that will take him throughout the country those motifs are likely to receive further reinforcement.

No doubt, all this will assure party faithful that the disarray stemming from the now aborted contest (through Zaids withdrawal) for deputy president is nothing to be unduly perturbed about.

But whether that is sufficient to convince appraising fence-sitters who have been mulling the evidence of the post-tsunami period that BN is beyond redemption but Pakatan Rakyat, especially its PKR component, havent quite gelled to tip over on to the latters side in the upcoming general election is less certain.

Perhaps these people wo! uld want to know what plans are there for the re-education of Dr Molly Cheah, the PKR lead election monitor, who was plucked from obscurity and named to her important role rather like one Fairus Khairuddin, who was similarly hoisted from nowhere and made deputy chief minister of Penang in March 2008.

No point now in belabouring the latter disaster; mistakes like that are apt to be made and there was fortunately time for its mitigation and eventual correction.

Will the fence-sitters be convinced?

But people would like to know whats in store for the likes of Dr Molly Cheah. She is a general practitioner. Her only qualification for the important post of chief election monitor seems to have been her friendship for Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, PKR president and fellow doctor.

NONECheah has no known track record in anything except general practice medicine.

In the event, when complaints about irregularities in the election process began to sweep in from the Zaid Ibrahim camp, Cheah was like a deer caught in the headlights: she simply had no clue about what was happening, not a very reassuring spectacle for a party with pretensions to take over Putrajaya.

Sure, its good that a well-heeled general practitioner like her is interested to play a role in the political reformation of the country. But pray, what was it that qualified her for the role of chief election monitor and what plans are there now for her re-education?

Perhaps fence-sitting voters see in the saga of Cheah an uncanny prefiguring of what a PKR-led Pakatan government could be about: an apparition that wafts in and wafts out.

Hence wouldnt it better to expend time on the details of Cheahs re-education and a host of other related and urgent matters than on road shows that would merely be balm for the party faithful but no reassu! rance to the fence-sitter, especially since you now have a mad-hatter on the loose bent on stirring the pot?

Two fatal political assumptions one for BN and the other for PR

By Queville To

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Musa Aman's 'timely' proclamation of a special grant of RM1 million to each Barisan Nasional representatives in Sabah subsequent year has been described as a "form of domestic corruption".

DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang pronounced Musa's proclamation underneath a state bill - warrants Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) courtesy as well as investigation.

It is a domestic crime to allot RM1 million open supports to a BN constituencies alone. It is clearly an choosing bill to boost a winning chances of BN in a subsequent general choosing as well as not for a good of a people. It is to be used to buy votes, Lim charged.

Musa voiced a special grant underneath a state Budget 2011 upon Friday. He pronounced a grant was to capacitate BN elected representatives to provide assistance to a people in their areas. The BN binds 57 out of 60 state seats in a state.

His proclamation is viewed by most as 'timely' given Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is expected to call for a general choosing anytime subsequent year. Opposition parties are speculating which Najib will call for a polls anytime in between March as well as Novemebr 2011.

Crony programme

Meanwhile Lim remarkable which a single of a National Key Result Area (NKRA) in a Government Transformation Program (GTP) is fighting crime as well as a single of a categorical aspects identified is to fight 'grand corruption' which is domestic corruption.

The MACC should examine as well as wipe out such domestic crime to show a government is serious about fighting corruption.

"The Auditor-General as well should control a special review upon all these (past) years of spending of such allocations by Sabah BN assemblymen as well as give a minute review report upon abuses.

"This (a! buse) co ntingency be unprotected as well as stopped if Malaysia is starting to be developed to turn a modern, approved nation. Public supports contingency not be abused for domestic purposes, he stressed.

Speaking to reporters here upon Saturday prior to returning to Kuala Lumpur, Lim pronounced a grant was against a United Nations report upon thorough growth, reporting which thorough expansion is ostensible to mean for a good of everyone regardless of ones domestic connection or support.

How can we speak about giving RM1 million for each BN subdivision as well as upon a alternative hand youre talking about 'inclusive growth'? he asked.

Touching upon a RM162 million allocated in a bill for misery eradication, he was both puzzled as well as distraught by a actuality which despite hundreds of millions of ringgit spent upon misery expulsion programmes over a years given BN took over a state in 1994, Sabah has turn a poorest state in a country.

I think instead of calling it misery expulsion programme, it should be rightly termed as 'BN Cronies Enrichment Programme' in view of a actuality which misery remains tall in Sabah, he remarked.
