The London press conference held by private investigator P Balasubramaniam has raised more questions than it had sought to answer, due largely to the conspicuous absence of Malaysian graft buster MACC and a media, perhaps cowed by a barrage of heavy-handed actions and veiled threats unleashed by Prime Minister Najib Razak in a bid to keep the truth from surfacing.

Yet, despite the Najib administration's mala fide, Balas credibility as a witness shone through and his willingness to help investigations into the brutal murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu and her role in a submarines corruption case was accepted with good faith by those attending presser and those back home in Malaysia who followed the event on the Internet.

Bala, a former Special Branch detective, was steady in his testimony and did not give in to sensationalism or embellishment. He held onto to the points he made in his first statutory declaration in 2008, offered some new information and sought to clarify lingering doubts.

In the process, he made several new and rather startling revelations. The most significant was that the man who hired him, Razak Baginda, was merely a scapegoat and deserved to be acquitted from the charges of having abetted two former bodyguards of Najibs and his wife Rosmahs in the Altantuya murder.

As far as I am concerned, Razak is a scapegoat. He has got nothing to do with the murder, said Bala. Yes, he was financing her and he had a relationship with her, but as far as I am concerned, he is innocent. In fact, my testimony in court saved him.

Why is it that all 5 people linked to the murder work for Najib?

A close friend of the PM's, Baginda's firm was given a controversial RM570 million side-deal in the Najib-sanctioned purchase of two Scorpene submarines in 2002.

But if Baginda was not involved, then who wa! s? Frank ly, this may seem like a silly question because a quick survey will show that many Malaysians and foreigners who have been following the case already share the same opinion whether or not Najib and Rosmah like to hear it, defamatory or not.

And this why Najib, his cousin the Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and the police went all out in the days preceding the presser to let it be known that they were willing and ready to launch a crackdown on the media including bloggers in cyberspace if they did not toe the line. Najib also forbade the MACC to go to London to record Bala's statement even though he can shed crucial light on the case.

Bala and his three lawyers said many other things during the press conference. Some were just reiterating what he had already said before and some were new information. The new information that could be considered interesting is that not only are the two police officers who murdered Altantuya linked to the Prime Ministers office, but in addition to Musa Safri, Najibs ADC, we now have Nasir Safar, Najibs personal assistant, who was at the scene when they picked up Altantuya in front of Razak Bagindas house, wrote top blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin in his Malaysia Today website.

The point Manjeet (Balas lawyer) was making is that it now looks like all those who are somehow involved in Altantuyas murder work for Najib. We have his police bodyguards, his ADC, his personal assistant, and his best friend and adviser. Can it be mere coincidental that all these five people who are linked to Altantuyas murder all work for Najib?

Scapegoats, but for whom?

The questions that Bala's London thriller-presser provoked are in the same vein as those that reverberated nationwide following the pronouncement of the death sentence on the first couples bodyguards. Were there masterminds involved and who ordered the killing?

The two special squad police officers, who had never met Altantuya until the night of her death, were found guilty of shooting he! r in the head and then bombing her body with C4 explosives to prevent identification perhaps also to hide the fact that she was pregnant as reported by French newspaper La Liberation.

So the cruelty and oppression remains in Malaysia. Unsurprisingly then that a survey released by the Merdeka Centre on Friday showed that 66 percent of its people felt that they were powerless and unable to bring about positive change in their own country.

Perhaps, this was how some of the Malaysian media must have felt on Wednesday, the day their bosses probably told them it was better not to ask too many questions or to probe too deeply. The answers that they get may be too 'hot' for them to write out and publish.

Still, we must not allow depression to settle because the fight for democracy is a long journey and a tough one.

On Monday, another battle front opens up in Paris, where Bala will tell all he knows to a French investigating team. Thanks to civil rights group SUARAM, which lodged a complaint on behalf of Malaysian taxpayers, the French authorities are probing allegations of corruption in the submarines deal that Najib inked with French defense firm DCNS.

SUARAM tells Malaysia Chronicle it is optimistic that Bala can help speed up probe and also hopes that the French authorities will display greater professionalism than has been shown by their Malaysian counterparts so far. The NGO also urged the French prosecutors to make public their findings even though it may implicate big-name politicians both in their own country and in Malaysia.

Minister for Information Communication and Culture Datuk Seri Dr. Rais Yatim announced yesterday that the 53rd National Day theme from August 1 to September 16 is 1Malaysia Transforming the Nation.At present the 1Malaysia logo has flooded the country but it does not add one iota to the nation-building process.Adding one sentence 1Malaysia Transforming the Nation to the ubiquitous 1Malaysia logo also does not make any meaningful contribution to the nation-building process.If the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is serious about the 1Malaysia policy with the officially-stated objective to create a Malaysia where every Malaysian regards himself or herself as Malaysian first and race, religion, geographical region or socio-economic group second, the government must go beyond slogan, logo and other publicity stunts.

As a first step, it should introduce a 1Malaysia pledge on the occasion of the 53rd National Day celebrations from August 1 to September 16 for all participants to pledge to become Malaysian first and race, religion, region or group second.This 1Malaysia pledge to be Malaysian first and race, religion, region or group second should be officially endorsed by the Cabinet and Parliament, and should be extended to the schools, universities both public and private, as well to 1.2 million civil servants.If Ministers, MPs and civil servants are not prepared to set an example of striving to be Malaysian first and race, religion, region or group second, and if the schools and universities do not actively promote this 1Malaysia pledge, then the 1Malaysia mantra has not much meaning beyond the slogan, logo and publicity stunt stages.This is a test as to whether the National Day theme of 1Malaysia Transforming the Nation is going to be a meaningful or meaningless exercise.

The author of the Malaysian Maverick: Mahathir Mohamad in turbulent times ,Barry Wain ,should be sued if the allegations he levelled against the former prime minister were untrue.

Klang DAP parliamentarian Charles Santiago said yesterday that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) should take action against Wain as his accusations that Mahathir was responsible for the RM100 billion financial loss during his tenure as the prime minister are considered baseless.

Santiago was referring to the written answer to his question on whether the government plans to investigate Wains claims.

However, Minister in the Prime Ministers Department Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz replied that the graft busters had reviewed the book in general and had not found any elements of corruption and had no plans to initiate an investigation.

MACC is not planning to conduct an investigation because theres nothing to show that an offence had taken place, said Mohd Nazri.

Wain, the former Asian Wall Street Journal managing editor, had penned a controversial and critical account of Mahathirs 22 years as the prime minister in the book.

One of the most attention-grabbing aspects was his accusation that an estimated RM100 billion was siphoned off from the country through a financial scandal, and direct financial losses which had piled up to around RM50 billion under Mahathirs Administration.

It postulates that as much as US$40 billion (RM100 billion at the exchange rate at the time) was lost to Malaysia through corruption or grandiose schemes that came to nothing.

TNONEhis account was, however, denied by Mahathir who had also threatened to initiate court action against Wain (left), raising the defence that the country would have been in deep financial trouble if it had lost such a hefty sum of funds.

The book, the release of which was held back for many months because of its controversial nature, was finally allowed to be sold last May.

They dont dispute the RM100 billion so they accept that so much was lost and if investigation had already taken place, we would like to know when will the results be made public, said Santiago.

The government wants to be transparent and fair to the people, it should, therefore, explain why the MACC and the cabinet minister believe there are no elements of corruption, he added.

Mahkamah 1Malaysia buat keputusan tanpa saksi dipanggil.....

Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur hari ini menolak saman Langkawi Academy Sdn Bhd (Lardac) terhadap Menteri Pertahanan dan dua yang lain bagi menuntut ganti rugi RM480juta kerana didakwa melanggar kontrak berhubung kerja-kerja menaik taraf pesawat pejuang F5.

Hakim, Datuk Abdul Wahab Patail berkata permohonan pihak plaintif (Lardac) ditolak dengan kos. Tiada alasan diberikan apabila Abdul Wahab memberikan penghakimannya dan berkata penghujahan akan diberikan pada Jumaat depan. Beliau juga mengarahkan Lardac supaya membayar kos RM20,000.

Keputusan hari ini dibuat selepas lebih lima tahun Lardac memfailkan saman menuntut pampasan kerana pembatalan kontrak yang tidak sah dan pencabulan syarat kontrak. Ini berikutan bantahan Lardac yang kementerian melalui cara pintu belakang membenarkan bekas rakannya, Caledonian Airborne Systems Ltd (CAS Ltd), yang berpangkalan di Britain mengambil-alih kerja-kerja menaik taraf, meskipun kontrak telah diserahkan kepada Lardac pada 11 Oktober 2001.

Firma itu juga mendakwa CAS Ltdtidak mempunyai kontrak khusus untuk beroperasi dengan kerajaan Malaysia. Lardac berkata pihaknya juga tidak menerima sebarang surat tunjuk sebab sebelum kontrak mereka ditamatkan. Keputusan hari ini dibuat tanpa mendengar keterangan saksi meskipun bekas ketua setiausaha kementeri pertanan, Hashim Meon, bersedia tampil sebagai saksi Lardac pada April lalu.

Lardac diwakili oleh peguam M Manogaran yang juga ahli parlimen Teluk Intan manakala pendakwaraya kanan persekutuan Noramilia Mohd Saad bertindak bagi pihak defendan.

Bala, "I dont want these corrupt Umnoputras........"

On July 7, 2008, private eye P Balasubramaniam celebrated his wedding anniversary being interviewed by police officers for about six or seven hours at the Malaysian embassy in Bangkok. Last Tuesday, he celebrated his anniversary being interviewed in a press conference under far more relaxed circumstances in London. The supporting cast and the location may have changed, but the focus remained the same. Yet what has often been relegated to a footnote has been the tribulations of the man himself.

"Everybody's focusing on the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu and who's behind it," says Balasubramaniam's lawyer, Americk Sidhu.

"There's another issue here which is equally important, and that is the way Balasubramaniam was treated after he released his first statutory declaration on the July 3, 2008. He was immediately apprehended, bribed, cajoled, threatened and removed from Malaysia."

The video of Balasubramaniam's interview in Singapore last November by three of his lawyers gave lengthy details regarding his experience starting from July 3, 2008.

Among the chilling allegations made by Balasubramaniam were the words said to him by Nazim Abdul Razak(left) , the younger brother of the prime minister, during a meeting near The Curve in Damansara
on the night after he released his first statutory declaration (SD): "If you love your family, just follow what Deepak (Jaikishan) tells you to do."

This kicked off a whirlwind journey for Balasubramaniam that had him hurriedly retracting his first SD with a second SD, his children getting new passports, a van shipping him and his family straight to Singapore's Changi Airport where he boarded a plane to Bangkok - all within 24 hours.

Expens es paid by businessman

After the interview by, oddly enough, commercial crimes police officers, he would then fly with his family to Kathmandu, then New Delhi and finally settling in Chennai, India where he stayed for over a year, his expenses funded by the shadowy and politically well-connected businessman, Deepak Jaikishan. Balasubramaniam now believes that the likelihood of him returning to Malaysia is slim.

"If I go back to Malaysia, I got a room in Kamunting waiting for me," he says. "I can't go back. They will silence me, or they will put me in Kamunting for nine to 10 years." Balasubramaniam feels his only hope for a return to the normal life he enjoyed back home is with a change in government. "I don't want these corrupt Umnoputras to be in Malaysia. I need the government to change."

In the Singapore interview, Balasubramaniam claimed that "Deepak said I can come back to Malaysia after Najib becomes PM." This became untenable when Balasubramaniam insisted he wanted the truth of his testimony as a witness in the Altantuya murder case to be revealed.

Back in Malaysia


How he and his family had emerged from an imposed silence in Chennai to a public (and globe-trotting) reaffirmation of his first SD depended on one moment of providence.

"The turning point was Deepak giving back my passport (in February 2009)," Balasubramaniam told Malaysiakini after the Tuesday's press conference in London. As his visa in India had expired, Balasubramaniam threatened to kick a fuss at the Malaysian High Commission in India. Deepak relented, and with his passport in hand, Balasubramaniam had a plan in mind.

On July 19, 2009, he called his lawyer, Americk Sidhu, who was in Wales, UK at the time. On Americk's advice, Balasubramaniam went to Kuala Lumpur on July 28 to meet the lawyer. This he achieved through a long route - flying from Chennai to Bangkok to Hat Yai. Then a motorbike taxi took him through Bukit Kayu ! Hitam, o ne of Malaysia's many notoriously porous northern border checkpoints where one could zip through without immigration scrutiny.

He made his way to Kuala Lumpur where he called Dinesh Jaikishan, brother to Deepak, to say that he was in Malaysia purely to meet his family, who had returned home earlier. Balasubramaniam's tactic here in being open about his visit was as a way to assure the Jaikishan brothers that he did not have ulterior motives. He spent 10 days in Kuala Lumpur conferring with Americk before returning to Chennai through the same route he had arrived.

Stopped at KLIA

In October 2009, Balasubramaniam came back to Malaysia again, this time with the intention of bringing his family to Chennai. On the advice of Americk, he flew straight to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), because he wanted to "test" if his passport would be flagged. It was.

"SB (Special Branch) officers came running towards me," said Balasubramaniam. "They brought me into their office (in KLIA). I thought they would put me in Kamunting." But he made a call to Deepak, and when the Special Branch officers called their superiors, they were told to let him go.

After about another 10 days in Kuala Lumpur, Balasubramaniam left Malaysia for the last time ever since. His family followed him in another flight a few days later. While he admits that the danger of being 'silenced' is ever present, Balasubramaniam feels safe in Chennai where, his lawyers joke, "half the people there look like him". But he rubbishes claims he is in hiding. "I don't consider myself as a fugitive. What wrong have I done?"

Regarding his finances, Balasubramaniam has made it clear he has been living off about RM750,000 in total funds received from Deepak for over a year since July 2008. "I flew here (London) with Deepak's money," he said. The cost of holding the press ! conferen ce and his hotel stay was paid for by donations from supporters. Americk asserted that there isn't one single personality or party financing the London exercise.

Balasubramaniam insists that his actions immediately after he issued the first SD have been guided by a concern for his family. "I can't be bought," he said. Now that he feels more assured for the safety of his family, Balasubramaniam is motivated by another concern: "I want the truth to come out... MACC not turning up shows that they don't want the truth to prevail." - Danny Lim

Pakatan leaders urge Najib to relinquish Finance Minister post

In the wake of corporate confusion, personal scandal and a faltering economy, Pakatan Rakyat leaders are demanding that Prime Minister Najib Razak relinquishes his position as Finance Minister and allow someone who is better-versed to do the job of righting the economy full-time.

Lets be frank. Najib has not added value to Malaysias economy since he became Finance Minister in late 2008. All we have are flip-flops here and there, PAS vice president Mahfuz Omar told Malaysia Chronicle.

And his U-turns are not on small matters but major policies tracked by foreign investors. Such as the New Economic Model which is supposed to underpin our new growth direction but is now frozen just because Perkasa and Dr Mahathir objected. And then the sports betting license, is it on or off? If you want investors to have confidence, you must be clear - not create confusion here and there.

Preoccupied
Indeed among the last straws to break the Pakatans patience has been the embarrassing brouhaha over the issuance of a sports betting license to billionaire tycoon Vincent Tan, a crony of former premier Mahathir Mohamad.

While Najib finally capitulated to the uproar raised by anti-gambling groups and Pakatan, the manner in which he tried to keep secret the fact that the Finance Ministry had indeed approved the license, but not formally issued it, sparked public jeering from market players and the man-in-the street.

So undecided on the issue was the Finance Minister that even his officers were confused, making wrong replies to parliamentarians and deepening the perception of opaqueness in corporate Malaysia.

Obviously, Najib is too preoccupied. He is frying too many fish in one kuali. But even when he was in the defense ministry, it was in a mess a! nd full of scandals," PKR strategic director Tian Chua told Malaysia Chronicle.

"It is a telling sign that the stories have not gone away but actually worsened with time. More revelations are still coming out, and now, even the French authorities are probing his 2002 submarines acquisition for corruption.

Declining economic future
However, what is perhaps the greatest motivation for Najib to reshuffle himself out of the finance portfolio is the worsening state of the Malaysian economy.

Earlier this week, at a Budget 2011 consultation, Najib warned Malaysians to brace for a slower economy in the second half of this year. Economists lambasted him for his slowness to react because they were already advising caution way back in November 2009 when the Dubai bonds crisis erupted.

But Najib, then banking on a statistical low-base effect to rocket 1st-quarter economic growth, chose to insist on painting a rosy future - perhaps, to bolster his credentials and imply the boost was due to a massive RM67 billion budget he pushed through in 2009.

Analysts also criticized him for lack of alertness and irresponsibility when he failed to scale back his optimism in February 2010, when the Greece sovereign debt crisis shook European markets to the bone, signaling in no uncertain terms that the global economy had clouded.

Malaysia recorded 10.1 percent GDP growth in the January-March period and Minister in the Economic Planning Unit Nor Mohamed Yakcop has warned the April-June period may not be as good.

For the past three months, the Malaysian government has been singing praises about the Malaysian economy - what happened now? DAP economics chief Tony Pua asked in Parliament on Wednesday.

We want the prime minister and his ministers to come up with an honest assessment of the countrys economy. The government must come up with an honest assessment on where we are and how to mitigate the slowdown.

Revert to the past, give up the finance portfolio
Underscoring th! e lack o f co-ordination and cohesiveness in Najibs financial team are the conflicting views of Nor Mohamed and his colleague in the PMs Department, Idris Jala.

Perhaps, in a bid to salvage some face for Najib following the panning he received, Nor Mohamed has rushed to assure that Malaysia was on track to achieve 6 percent economic growth this year despite a slower 2nd quarter and second half.

But looking further ahead and in sharp contrast, Idris Jala, tasked by Najib to implement politically-sensitive subsidy cuts that will trigger price hikes in a barrage of consumer goods including petrol, has warned Malaysia could go bankrupt in 9 years.

In normal circumstances, the prime ministers in most democratic countries do not hold two such important posts, especially the Finance Ministry. In Malaysia, that only became the trend in 1998 because of Dr Mahathirs craze for power and control in the aftermath of the sacking of Anwar Ibrahim as finance minister, Tian said.

To hold both positions also gives the PM too much say and access over the countrys coffers. It is not a wise arrangement that transparency advocates will ever recommend. Even in Singapore, PM Lee Hsien Loong has some years ago relinquished the finance ministry to Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Malaysia should move along the same lines. It is a fair demand and for the good of the nation."

The French writer Emile Zola took on the might of the entire Government of France when he sounded that clarion call for justice in the L' Aurore newspaper in Paris on 13th January 1898.


'Jaccuse or I Accuse represents the triumph of human intellect, endeavour, strength and resolve over hopeless odds when faced with institutionalised government thuggery and gangsterism.

THE AWAKENING 1 NATION, 3 SYSTEMS
When I first watched the black and white movie versions of 'The Life of Emile Zola' and 'The Dreyfus Affair' on Malaysian TV, I must have been 17 or so. The anti-Semitic aspect of the Dreyfus saga did not register much with me then though that was the central reason for the victimization of Dreyfus, seen as a pushover by dark and dangerous elements in the admiralty of the French Navy. Most of my classmates and schoolmates, including me, were politically ignorant and naive even at a time when the Vietnam War was raging so close to home and the 1969 race riots, pretty much restricted to Malays and Chinese in Selangor, Ipoh and Penang following the general elections, changed our world! Back then, Kuala Lumpur was part of Selangor; it became the first Federal Territory on 1st February 1974.
B! ut if to day, anyone here says he is ignorant of the Israeli-Palestine conflict or the USA-Iran/Afghan War when Malaysians have justifiably sponsored and boarded flotillas heading for Gaza, and unjustifiably spawned local bomb makers and regional terrorists, that would be the height of ignorance or hypocrisy!
So, as in 1957 and 1969, Malaysia is once again at a crossroads. This time, we are faced with an extremist right wing organization, an NGO which claims to represent an oppressed MAJORITY! Now, isnt that a little odd, if not an awful lot, given they are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the New Economic Policy (NEP)? More than that, the last 40 years has seen the almost complete domination at every level of Government, the Civil Service, Army, Navy and Air Force, Police, Judiciary, the administrative and teaching corps at Government owned schools, colleges and universities and Government Linked Companies (GLC's) such as Petronas, Sime Darby, MAS, Maybank and sports organizations, scout movement and many others, by one group of Malaysians over any other.
Yet, they would have us believe, this has created an unprecedented level of insecurity among the majority that seemingly defies analysis. The NEP was formulated in 1970 to address the charge that indigenous Bumiputra majority in Malaysia only owned some 2% of the economy and to rectify the imbalance therein through affirmative action policies. It was meant to be terminated 20 years later, but never was by ex-Prime Minister Dr.Mahathir Mohamad (1981-2003) who summarily claimed its objectives had not been fully realised yet, though he never disclosed any independent statistics to support his fiat.
Five years later, a leading and highly respected PhD holding analyst and researcher with government resigned his post when his statement that Bumiputras had achieved 45% control of the economy was hotly disputed by t! hen Depu ty Prime Minister, Tun Najib Razak (now Prime Minister). It appears that equity valuations are still stated at original cost and not market values!
After 40 years of NEP, our government claims that the originally loosely stated Bumiputra target of 30% share of economy languishes at just under 20% and that of the 40% of the population classified as poor by international yardsticks, Bumiputras constitute the majority!!
Whose fault is all that? Who is responsible for the gross abuse of the NEP to the extent that it only benefited a relatively few cronies, politicians, insiders, the elite and well-connected businessmen and corporate raiders to the tune of billions of dollars, while the masses ate cake? Who's exclusively been holding the reins of power since 1957? Who takes ownership for the endemic corruption and billion dollar financial scandals, the economic looting and plunder that continues to rock and quake the country?
This has led to vociferous demands amid much public hand wringing, breast beating and self-flagellation, prominently backed by Dr.Mahathir that Bumiputras who perhaps constitute some 60% of the populace, should by some law of inverted logic control and share in 67% of the national cake! The NGO leader and his acolytes aver they have a right to speak up and demand actions based on their view of right and wrong, on any and all issues involving or affecting Bumiputra rights; that they have wide and enormous support from the indigenous heartland (wherever that may be) as well as from urban areas.
Many suspect Dr.Mahathir is the real brain-child and power behind this NGO whose public leader gained a parliamentary seat standing as a candidate under the banner of Malaysias opposition religious party, PAS, then defected and now operates as an independent MP. Apparently his friendly overtures to the ruling party were roundly and pointedly, ignored!
Accusations have also been hurled against the ruling party that they have outsourced their extremist ri! ght wing ed elements and leanings to Dr.Mahathir and this new kid on the block NGO, thus killing two birds with one stone - appearing to be a moderate multi-racial consensus party AND portraying itself as the only party capable of dealing with overt chauvinism and extremism.
The stance and line of attack of Dr.Mahathir is very clear:
1. The Ruling Party is no longer capable of protecting Bumiputra rights.
2. NEP should continue indefinitely until they and only they say, enough.
3. Their demands are backed by Special Rights clauses enshrined in the Federal Constitution.
4. The award of citizenships to immigrant populations in 1957 was an act of sabotage by the departing colonial British administration. That this somehow created what is in reality a 2nd class citizenship and a Social Contract whereby these immigrant citizens, their children and the children of their children ad infinitum will not question their government, ever, even if the Flames of Valhalla were to engulf them.
5. "Others" should not question anything to do with NEP, its cost or who bears it in what proportion even if there is blatant abuse of it. (This implies the NEP exists only to rectify the economic imbalance among one group of Malaysians and not all, through affirmative action policies which are not defined).
6. Demands by other Malaysian citizens as to their Constitutional rights is not quite cricket, as by virtue of the (iffy) Social Contract they are 2nd class citizens!
7. That Opposition political parties such as multi-racial Democratic Action Party (DAP) (unlike the major component parties of the ruling Barisan National (BN) where memberships are by race) are anti-Bumiputra, anti-Islam, anti-Federal Constitution and anti-Monarchy (anti-Sultans). That DAPs malevolent and treasonous "secret" master plan/agenda is for the Chinese to re-colonize Malaysia with help from Lee Kuan Yew and Singapore to eventually turn it into a vassal and protectorate slave state of China.
8. If not, multi! -racial opposition Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) or People's Justice Party, is anti-Monarchy, pro-Israel and Pro-Zionists. It will turn Malaysia into a Republic and the 51st state of the USA, which, being ruled by proxy by Israel (as revealed so swimmingly by none other than Dr.Mahathir), in reality means Malaysia will eventually be controlled by the Jews and their Diaspora!
J'ACCUSE III

Now we can clearly see in all its glorious nakedness the intentions of Dr.Mahathir, the new NGO, the ruling party and its MSM in the incessant demonization of DAP and PKR and its leaders. Attack is the best form of defence and when in doubt, play the man, not the ball (A big lie when repeated often enough eventually will be accepted as the truth - Nazi Joseph Goebbels). Ooh, you are about to be re-colonized in your own land by the minority and their foreign imperialistic allies! Boo, beware, or else your children will only be fit to be gardeners, chauffeurs, taxi and bus drivers, office and messenger boys, coolies and keranis (clerks)!
That it should fall to a non-entity, the little guy, the nobody, the small time blogger to sound the nation and the world, raise the cudgel and hopefully strike a blow for reason, freedom, truth and justice to prevail is a little worrying. All these people whom I revere and whose names I have sprinkled about as though I can claim a right to be associated with them - Washington, Lincoln, Churchill and Zola, oh Emile Zola, I ask for their forgiveness.
I am once again drawn to the 1776 American Declaration of Independence:
..That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness......
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design ! to redu ce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
And so let me begin:
J'Accuse Dr. Mahathir Mohamad of indulging and engaging in demagoguery, of playing to the gallery and playing with fire to drive a wedge and divide Malaysians, pitting race against race, by promoting envy and jealousy.
J'Accuse Dr. Mahathir Mohamad of scaremongering tactics, of and posturing like Enoch Powell who once scurrilously tried to frighten Britain citizens about being swamped by coloured immigrants and of rivers of blood! All this to mislead our people into thinking the ruling party is ordained (by divine right) to govern in perpetuity and there are no alternatives regardless of its excesses!
Let's be very clear. The majority of Bumiputras voting for the Opposition does not constitute loss of political power or control for the Bumiputras. It may be fatal for the incumbent ruling party, but that is not equivalent to a fate worse than death for the Bumiputras. No sirree, not by a long, long way! You see, you need the "consent of the GOVERNED". If you don't have it, you should know where the door is! The Governed today are not the uninformed naive lot that might once have been quietly bled to death by increasingly subtle ponzi and cunning Bernie Madhoff and Goldman Sachs mafia-style rabid conscienceless capitalist schemes!
J'Accuse Dr.Mahathir Mohamad of hypocrisy in ranting about a future government that MIGHT open the floodgates of immigration and reduce the Bumiputras to minorities in their own native land. There is also something quite amiss, something not quite right when Dr.Mahathir is himself actually the son of either 1st or 2nd generation immigrants from Kerala in India. Dr.Mahathir was the presiding prime minister when identity cards were issued by civil servants to illegal immigrants in Sabah attempting to re-engineer the population mix there. It was he who opened the d! oors to foreign labour and maids and then offered amnesty to a million illegal immigrant workers. Today, it is conservatively estimated that there are about a million illegal immigrants each in peninsular Malaysia, and Sarawak and Sabah.
J'Accuse Dr. Mahathir Mohamad of doing this deliberately and not caring a jot as to the consequences of such actions. In a tinder-dry atmosphere of his creation, when embraced by immature minds and opportunist politicians, such irresponsible utterances, writings and actions can prove to be the flash point for conflagration as in 1969! The highly intelligent Dr.Mahathir is not aware of it? Only too well, I suspect!
J'Accuse our successive governments of allowing the separate arms of a democratic state to deteriorate and be compromised as to their honesty and integrity to the greatest detriment of its people. Corruption and economic looting have been permitted to flourish and their perpetrators, to enjoy the fruits of their ill-begotten gains and escape scot-free!
J'Accuse our government of selective prosecution and double standards. Thus, an opposition MP is prosecuted under sedition laws for merely making a factually correct statement that a Sultan can be sued by law. Reporters and opposition politicians are bafflingly arrested and sequestered under the Internal Security Act (ISA) "for their own safety" based on unfounded rumours about an insult to Islam traceable to a blog posting by a ruling party MP and ex- State Chief Minister. Pro-government newspapers blow the conch for unreserved retaliation without verifying an iota of fact! A cartoonist, because his drawings are seen as anti-Government, has his books confiscated and banned under the repressive 1984 Printing Presses and Publication Act (PPPA) promulgated by Dr.Mahathir.
On the other hand, a government MP is let off with a slap on the wrist for referring to some citizens as immigrants, most of whom are 2nd and 3rd generation citizens or older! As too occurred with the prime minis! ter defe nding his political aide who was forced apologise and resign amidst public furore and outrage over a racist speech rant that the mothers of Chinese immigrants came to Malaysia as prostitutes to sell their bodies, and Indians as beggars! Really, PM Najib, do you honestly believe the words that came out of your own mouth that your ex-aide had not referred to local Chinese and Indians? He was referring to foreign Chinese and Indians who never set foot on our shores? Really? Then, my grandfather was a Caucasian named Ghandhi Mao!
J'Accuse!

THE HOPEYou cling to power, fame, the dismal dregs, trappings and illusion of money, property, wealth and a place in the history books.
I am not judging expecting perfection from you. The Lord alone knows my own weaknesses and pathetic failures.
I demand fair play. I demand justice prevails. Thats all.

And I say all this with great fear. I am no hero. I know no one. If they come after me in the wee hours of the morning because thats what they have learnt from Stalin and Hitler and Idi Ami and Bokassa about how to treat their fellow citizens, I shall go quietly and gently in their Black Maria and say nothing. I shall not give the enforcers any statements or the time of the day. I shall not give in to pain!
I have said what I meant to.
My inalienable right to say it is indisputable.
I have the weight of history in my favour and (I hope) God on my side!

SPRM tak siasat Dr Mahathir tentang dakwaan seleweng RM100b......

Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) tidak bercadang menyiasat dakwaan Barry Wain dalam bukunya "Malaysian Maverick: Mahathir Mohamad in Turbulent Times" kerana mendapati tiada elemen perlakuan rasuah berlaku seperti yang didakwanya.

Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz berkata selepas meneliti buku berkenaan SPRM mendapati tiada asas berlakunya kesalahan itu di bawah Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia 2009. Beliau berkata demikian dalam jawapan bertulis kepada soalan Charles Santiago (DAP-Klang) pada persidangan Dewan Rakyat hari ini.

Dalam bukunya, Wain bekas Pengarang Urusan Asian Wall Street Journal mendakwa kononnya Dr Mahathir membazirkan sehingga RM100 bilion ketika menjadi Perdana Menteri. Wain berkata semua maklumat tersebut, termasuk dakwaan penyelewengan berjumlah RM100 bilion itu disokong oleh bukti. Antaranya adalah kerugian melalui Perwaja Steel, yang didakwa Dr Mahathir "hanya RM1 hingga RM2 bilion," bukannya antara RM15 hingga RM20 bilion seperti ditulis oleh Wain.

"Dr Mahathir mempunyai memori singkat. Menteri kewangannya sendiri mengemukakan satu laporan audit oleh Pricewaterhouse (Cooper) di Parlimen pada pertengahan 1990-an. Kerugian pada masa itu, saya rasa berjumlah RM9.5 bilion dan ia makin bertambah selepas itu.

"Dia tidak akan senang hati apabila diingatkan tentang perkara ini, tapi itulah kehidupan... Selagi saya (menulis dengan) seimbang kepada dia, dan saya telah terbitkan pandangan dia," kata Wain dalam satu wawancara khas dengan Malaysiakini Mei lalu.

Selain itu, Wain juga mendakwa bahawa bangunan ibu pejabat Umno di Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra (PWTC) dibina dengan dana awam. Buku itu pernah ditahan lebih lima bulan oleh Kementerian Dalam Negeri dengan alasan untuk mengkajinya. Disember tahun lalu, KDN telah merampaskan 800 naskah buku tersebut di Pelabuhan Klang.

! Dr Mahat hir dalam blognya mengakui pernah berlaku beberapa kerugian dalam tempoh pentadbirannya tetapi jumlahnya tidak pun mencecah RM10 bilion. Beliau juga meminta kerajaan menubuhkan suruhanjaya siasatan diraja untuk menyiasat dakwaan tersebut, tetapinya ia ditolak.
