At the meeting, current party president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail was also nominated for the post.
At a press conference after the meeting, Khalid said he declined the nomination because he felt that Wan Azizah was longer with the party and had more experience than him.
With that, only Wan Azizah was nominated for the post by the division.
Khalid who also qualifies to contest the vice-president post, said he would decide on this on Oct 5.
On claims that many party members from Bandar Tun Razak were present at the Kuala Selangor divisional elections, Khalid who is also Bandar Tun Razak member of parliament, said they were there voluntarily to distribute food to the party workers and denied they were phantom members.
